Smirk! Yes, one could see this. I do think he would publish under a pen name--and that one would be so appropriate. Thanks!

Author's Response: And it would have given him something to do while waiting to rescue Harry... Thank you for your review.

Of course the first book Harry picks up would turn out to be by his soon-to-be nemesis, Snape! I love the way Snape 'borrows' ideas for his books from the students themselves; definately a Slytherin method of creativity there. Hope Snape continues to have a successful writing career ;)

Author's Response: In all the seven books, there is nothing that would indicate that he didn't or would not have pull a stunt like this. I think that Prof. V.V.'s next book might have been a potions one, based on his dissections of the Weasley twins' creations.

Thank you! It lets us all know that yes for certain he is a bloody vindictive sort. lol. I really like this, along with the other I read a bit earlier today. I think you did an excellent job of keeping who the "professor" is hidden all the way to the very end, even tho you did put in a hint or two here and there. (now i'm off to print this up cause it is definitely worth another read, and actually one i will allow my 13 year old daughter to read. hehe) keep up the fantabulous work!!!!

Author's Response: O. Henry is (was, as he's dead) one of my favorite authors; I love his stories' surprise endings. I was delighted to discover that I could craft a short story in his style.

Glad you liked it, and thank you for the review!

Reader's Response: I enjoy O. Henry now and again myself. I have a fairly thick book of his "works" floating around somewhere. I wish I could find it!! We have moved 2x in less than a year and I am sure it is still sitting packed in a box in storage. boohoo. You are very talented and I enjoy reading your work very much. Keep feeding the muses and they will always be good to you! Sleepy
