I love explanations on how the events played out leading up to Godric's Hollow. Excellent writing!

Author's Response: Phew, getting my response in right before the bell. I am glad you are enjoying it! More Godric's Hollow explanations coming up, once the move back from Mage to Occlumency is completed. (That is the archive where I used to post/will post again in the future.)

Hi Zara! Don't worry, I'm still following the story, it's only that I never have time to leave a review, due to my job's increasing difficulties. Anyway, this time I managed to have at least few minutes to write. I imagine I'll read you in the "old" archives next time. I'm glad the story isn't still finished. I like your ideas! As always, your Snape and Dumbledore are superb. I only think that perhaps Snape is too concerned for the Potters. After all, he hated James... Waiting to know what will happen. Ciao! Mariaemilia

Author's Response: Good to see you are still with me, and I look forward to seeing you back at Occlumency. I will be holding the final two installements (yes, the story is complete) until after the move back.

As far as Snape's motivations...yes, he hated James, but...there was Ch. 4 in the earlier story! Though of course we won't know one way or the other until July 21, at which point I can always label this as AU, if necessary.

Potions class from Snape's point of view! Awesome!

Author's Response: Hi pudella. Glad you enjoyed my take on Potions class!

Good and interesting as always! Just a quick message to let you know I'm here and waiting to read more. Looking forward to reading Snape's next meeting with the Dark Lord! Mariaemilia

Author's Response: Thanks for reviewing!

I liked the explanation of how to extract a memory (recall the start of the memory and move the wand away while recalling the ending). Your character interactions are excellent, from the conversations to their thoughts to their reactions to one another.

Author's Response: Hi pudella!

I figured since it does not seem to involve any special wand motions or incantations, a simple explanation for the memory extraction makes the most sense. It's good to hear that you like how I write my characters. That's my favorite thing about writing, trying to make them convincing and interesting.

Thanks for your review!

This is the best telling I've read of how Snape was able to get the job at Hogwarts. Some other stories I've read I just didn't believe that Snape could pull it off, but in yours I completely believed how he was able to fool Voldemort. It was an intricate web of both logic and emotions. It also makes me think that Voldemort expects obedience from his followers but rewards those that can think outside the box.

Author's Response: Hi pudella,

Thanks for leaving your review. I'm glad you like my take on this subject.

I imagine Voldemort would mostly judge followers based on their usefulness to him rather than just on blind obedience. I'm thinking of the graveyard scene, in which he calls Lucius his 'slippery friend'. He realizes Lucius is 'slippery', but will put up with it to a point because Lucius is useful too.

Hi again! This was a very interesting chapter! I liked very much the conversation between Snape and Voldemort, with all its subtleties. Now I'm left wondering: was Voldemort's last action an act of thank or a disapproval? Waiting to know what happen next and possibly soon. As always, hope you understand my bad English. Saluti. Mariaemilia

Author's Response: Hi Mariaemilia,

I'm glad you enjoyed the scene. In the first chapter, I set up Voldemort's action at the end of this chapter as a mark of favor towards a Death Eater. But does he really mean it in this case? Well, I can't answer that, can I?

Hi Zara! I was beginning to worry, so imagine my joy when I got the Owl Post!

The story is developing as promising as I expected. I love your Snape and Dumbledore. More and soon, please! Best regards from Rome. Mariaemilia

Author's Response: Hi!

Unfortunately with the move and all that technical stuff, the submission queue here has gotten really slow - it used to take about a week to get a story up on the old Occlumency archive, but this last chapter I waited for a month. (I have already put #3 in the queue, we can keep our fingers crossed...) On the plus side, this means that I am way ahead - putting the finishing touches on Chapter 5, actually. I am sure the staff here will iron out their problems soon, too. I'm glad you like my story!!

I'm enjoying this - very interesting. More please!

Author's Response: Hi Faraday, glad you like it. I just submitted Chapter 3. The queue is rather slow just now, but hopefully, that will improve soon. :)

In the meantime, it allows me to stay ahead with my writing (I'm putting finishing touches on Chapter 5 at present).
