This is very well written and your characters are very in character. I like your portrayal of Snape, but I'm having a hard time picturing him with short hair. LOL. The interaction with Bella was perfect. I think you've got me hooked on this one.

I was not familiar with the terms , "larder", "betters", "priest hole", "switch" and "ticking" (the last two I never saw used this way), but I looked them up so I learned something new. The image I get in my head of Snape with short hair and a beard sounds like hans gruber from die hard. I can't imagine Snape telling anyone they should "marry and have lots of babies". I imagined Snape getting payment from Narcissa, not Bellatrix, but I he can't afford to be choosey.

Author's Response: I try to use Britishisms where they would apply and I'm glad you were able to find them.

Bella, as far as I'm concerned, has little in the way of morals left in her bones and let's face it, Severus is a MAN... Yeah!

O lala! LOL! I like it! But can you bring Jenny back soon? I liked her. Update soon *LS*

Author's Response: Don't worry, you'll see lots of Jenny - she's got a lot to say.

Well written, well ended. Severus' softening toward Draco seems in such contrast to how he treaded Bella. The contrast was sharp and biting. Very dramatic and gave the chapter great depth. I look forward to more of this story.

Author's Response: Thank you for your kind comments. I think you'll find my Severus a man of contrasts - the story is finished and off to the beta. Hopefully, I can post more frequently.
