Hi there! I just discovered you updated the story! It wasn't clear in the window on Occlumency, because the title never changed position... or maybe it did, and I didn't notice? In any case, I was checking each time and finally, opening the story for a friend of mine, I saw there was a new chapter. Note: this is why I'm so late to review... perhaps others are, for my same reason. OK, back to the story. Ottimo! Stupendo! Fantastico! Brava! I presume you understand I liked it! I've enjoyed both Dumbledore (humor an old man, Severus!) and Snape, even if his tears are a little bit too emotional... But after all, if they called him Snivellus, there must have been a reason. Now I'm anxiously waiting for more. Kee p it as good as this!
Author's Response: Hi, yes, I added Chapter 4 very shortly after Chapter 3, so my story had not moved down at all from the top of the updated list. I wrote a version of Chapter 4 (as a one-shot, of Harry viewing it as a Pensieve memory) a few months ago. When I had the idea of making it part of a larger story about Snape, it required very little reworking. Just some additions of Dumbledore's thoughts at various points in the scene.
I figure I'll get some reviews once Chapter 5 shows up. I've posted it already; it is still in the queue for approval, though.
I'm glad you liked the chapter. It is probably my favorite (even the excessive emotion.) I am afraid it will be a hard act to follow, but I am giving it a try!

Well done indeed! I could really visualize this meeting and feel young Snapes fear and hope. I like the way Albus tested his true nature. Very well written. I look forward to the next chapter.
Author's Response: Thanks, greenwood, glad you liked this! This scene was what inspired me to write the whole story. I originally wrote it as a one-shot of Harry seeing a Pensieve memory a few days after Dumbeldore's funeral. I like this better, mostly because I can make much clearer what Dumbledore was thinking. |
