Okay, I know the site has gone all wonky, with the back and the forth of the archives, but I'm really getting anxious for another update! I saw your updated bio on the other archive, but unfortunately it doesn't seem to have made the switch. It's sad really, everytime I get a craving for an update, I come back and reread the story... all it does is make me want an update that much more. *drat and damn* Well, here's to hoping the bar exam went well and that there will be loads of lovely chapters waiting for us in the near future!! *bright, optimistic, slightly manic smile* Right? Hope all is well! GG

Author's Response: *laughs* All wasn't really well, but it's getting better (the Bar Exam did go well though, thanks). I did post another update yesterday, though, and hopefully that helps your craving a little bit. Would it help even more to know I have large chunks of the next two chapters written?

I've just discovered this story, and had to tell you that it is Brilliant! You have an amazing talent for humor, along with the ability to keep a story moving & interesting. Hope you keep writing this!

Author's Response: I don't know why I didn't respond earlier, but thank you. You're making me blush.

Thank you for the update...please keep them coming. You are a true mental health professional, dispensing laughter, which has no adverse side affects, in lieu of anti-depressants.

Author's Response: You're very welcome :) I confess I could've used the latter in the last few months!

I agree with Owlbait, I should have included I Was a Male War Bride. Just picture Cary Grant in drag as a WAC officer, that movie is a scream. The Bachelor and the Bobbysoxer is another good one, in it he's being pursued by a teenage Shirley Temple, but he has his eye on Myrna Loy. She is his co-star in Mr Blandings builds his Dream House, another very funny movie. Operation Petticoat is another great one. Of all his screwball comedies I like The Awful Truth the most, and of his serious movies it's a tie between To Catch a Thief and An Affair to Remember.

Author's Response: *takes notes* That's a lot of movies to add to my "To Watch" list. I'm not sure which is my favorite of the screwball comedies - I don't think I've seen enough of them. Of the serious movies, however, it's hands-down Notorious. :)

"Tonks felt oddly grateful that the Floo had been charmed so that all she could 'here' was the callerís muffled strident tones..." Darn spellchecks don't check for proper context. Otherwise great update!

Author's Response: Oh - how embarrassing! *blush* Thanks for letting me know :)

**doing cabbagepatch obnoxiously** Yay!!! An update! I have been checking and checking again for this update, and I'm so glad it's here!! The only problem is that now I want the next chapter... *pout* However, it's well worth the wait! Cheers! GG

Author's Response: LOL - Well, thank you :D

So glad to see a new chapter... can we have more soon?

Author's Response: Er - soon? No, probably not. I'm working on "eventually" at this point. :)

Indeed, nice to see it still lives ^_^ And some very witty and funny scenes you've scripted for the "happy" couple! The only thing that I've found pretty weird and a bit irritating was the permanent emphasis on Snape's "advanced" age - he's 35/36 during OotP according to JKR which makes Tonks about 13 years his junior. Given the fact that this is the woman who mooned obsessively in canon over exactly the same age as ex-Snape-classmate Lupin (culminating in a public scene and emotional blackmail in front of the whole Order to get her true romanceTM) I find it a bit unlikely that she would find the age-gap noteworthy or that Snape would feel riled about it. It wouldn't even feel very dramatic in our Muggle-world - much less in the WW where people according to JKR grow significantly older. In theory at least, the fact that we met/know nobody's grand parents aside from Mrs. Longbottom, much less someone's great-grand parents which should be rather common in a society for people living way beyond the 100 even without Philosopher's Stones speaks a bit differently. Well, might be a serious case of JKR and numbers... ^_~. Or do you go for 20 years older Rickman!movie!Snape?

Author's Response: Hrm - a lot to think about. I'm not really all that aware of constantly emphasizing the age difference. Mostly in my own mind I focus on the "he was her teacher" bit - which is a nod to a lot of crap on Ashwinder. I suspect the emphasis on age follows suit from that - those that we knew as adults when we were kids are still "old" in our minds - even if the age difference is not that pronounced. The other thing to keep in mind is that the bulk of this story was written pre-HBP, and it is therefore AU, especially where Lupin is concerned. ;) And no, I have no idea why there aren't great-grandparents wandering around, either.
