I've just discovered your first set of chapters, and it was a wonderful read right up until... it stopped... Please do continue, I'm quite anxious to see what happens next!
Author's Response: Thank you, I'm glad you liked it! More is on the way--I'm working on the next chapter. |

Yes, please, do go on! When I first discovered your story, I read the first 18 chapters without a break. And now I am always very eager for a new chapter.
Author's Response: Thanks, that's very nice to hear! |

Oh, god. Nicely done. I think I mentioned before that Severus is absolutely brilliant at making bad worse. Or in this case, worst.
I stopped reading 3 times at Sectumsempra before being able to force myself to go on.
Well. I was glad to see Sev was as appalled by the results as Harry was 20 years later. One hopes the impression lasts longer with Sev. Actually, we can infer it does. Now we know why, in canon, when Severus is REALLY upset he refuses to do magic. And we're all very, very grateful for his restraint.
Please feel free to update again soon!
Author's Response: Thank you!
Considering how angry he gets in the books, Severus does show a good deal of restraint. It struck me that he had to konw how very bad Dark magic could be. |

I liked Xenasquill's setup for the "prank", but I like yours even better. I too thought that Severus might have figured it out, but just couldn't believe it. Your characters are all-too-believable, and I like your Lily better than canon. I can so see Sirius throwing Severus's birth in his face while publicly disparaging that point of view....
Author's Response: 1) Considering how dangerous the Wizarding World believes werewolves to be (with good reason), Sev might well have found it incredible to think Dumbledore would let one into the school. 2) I wish we could have seen more of Lily in canon than we did. 3) I don't know that it would be all that easy for anyone to throw off a Black upbringing!
Thank you! |

A decently convincing setup for the werewolf caper. I look forward to the next chapter--not that I expect to derive pleasure, exactly, from reading it.
Author's Response: Thanks!
The Prank chapter will be pretty chilling, actually--at least, it is to me. |
