Reviews for Into the Fold

Rose of the West 2009.04.02 - 09:22AM 23: The Head Healer Signed
Here we see that the question is about which fold Severus will finally be taken into. The battle at hand is as much for his soul as it is for James's life. Quite thought-provoking.

Author's Response: Thanks! I do like thinking about the various influences that must have worked on Severus at this time.

I've been enjoying this story, and hope you'll be updating soon.

Author's Response: Thanks! I'm almost finished with editing for DH compliance and will begin writing Part 2 after that.

This story draws one... I will be interested in following as you revise and add to it.

Author's Response: Thank you! I'm working on the editing now.

This chapter is magnificent. The conversation between Voldemort and Snape is just what one would imagine.

Author's Response: Thank you!

I certainly get a feel for Malfoy, Voldemort, and Snape from this chapter. I'll have to keep reading, now.

Author's Response: Thank you! I hope you enjoy the rest of the story.

This just keeps getting better and it was great to begin with. Your version explains so much about Severus. I can't wait for Part 2...and the edited version of Part 1. Thanks for writing for us.

Author's Response: Thank you! I'm glad you're enjoying the story and the explanation, since I've always wondered what motivated Severus to join the DE's.

Ow! First off, congratulations on tricking me: I only suspected a little of the wheels-in-wheels. No wonder canon Bella nurtures such a hatred for Severus, then; it's not just jealousy like we always thought. But you're going to leave us here? We won't find out what happened after the St. Mungo's Coach for a while? Aargh! Are you sure you haven't spent too long in Azkaban, Pasi? That's what seems to have twisted the most sadistic of the canon Death Eaters.... By the way, nice work.

Author's Response: "Are you sure you haven't spent too long in Azkaban, Pasi? That's what seems to have twisted the most sadistic of the canon Death Eaters...." Hehehehe.... No, honestly, I will be back with more when I've edited in a more canon Snape/Lily relationship and outlined Part Two. I want to get it right, even if it takes time. Thank you for reading and reviewing! Glad you've enjoyed the story.

Oh, god. You write a Voldemort who's good at seduction. In one of my fictions, I had Severus reflect years later, "Was there anyone who had gotten what they sought in joining? Save Bella and her ilk, of course. For anyone sane—whatever you sought in joining the Dark Lord, that’s what you lost, you paid …." So of course. It makes perfect sense. Voldie enslaves Severus by offering him freedom. Wish you'd written this before I'd done mine! I might have to rewrite in response... And what a cliffie. To think I'd been looking forward to this update, you evil being.

Author's Response: Thank you! Snape's in for a mighty disillusionment, which will be fun (so to speak!) to write about. No need to rewrite yours, though, I'd think, unless you'd have fun doing it or you really think it would be improved. I'm working on the next chapter, and I think I can already assure you Severus will survive!

This was certainly worth the wait. I love your version of the relationship between Severus and his mother. And your Voldemort is certainly darker than Rowling's ever was. Looking forward to he next chapter. Thanks for sharing. /M

Author's Response: Thank you! Sorry it took so long--RL has steamrollered me in the past few weeks.
