Well done! You really put into words the feelings that a lot of us think may have been going through Snapes mind in that final year, hours, moments. Well done indeed. I can't wait to get on to the next chapter.

Lovely! This is my favorite type of story, although I rarely find one so well done. Hopefully you don't get halfway towards the end and stop writing. That would be sad~ We need more finished works. Good job~

Author's Response: Thank you! I'm currently working on the final chapter - chapter nine. Chapter eight, just submitted, was one of the most difficult for me to write, but I really like the way it turned out - hope you do as well.

This was such a powerful chapter. You made me feel such incredible sympathy and sadness for Severus Snape. The seeming lack of caring by Albus Dumbledore really pains his former student and spy. He wants to feel appreciated, no, he wants to hear he has done well from his mentor. How heartbreaking for Severus to not hear that from him. To know he is a cog only to get Harry to a point. Remus, in the previous chapter, has that knowledge, though he agreed not to share it. Oh, this is a very sad chapter.

Author's Response: You raise some excellent points. My final chapter, chapter nine, will address some of these. I agree that it seems that Severus is just a cog or pawn, but Dumbledore's legacy will be more than one of mere duty (in my story at least ). I also see Severus (in chapter 7) as being someone who is still unable emotionally to fully accept appreciation. He craves it but isn't able to take it in. That is extremely sad. Thanks for your review!
