The girl had two Muggle parents; he had one Muggle parent. Dear Merlin, being a half-blood made him only one step away from being a Mudblood himself! What an awful way for an 11 year old to learn about prejudice! Loved your explaination of how Snivellus came to be and how Lily became his friend.

Author's Response: Thanks and welcome aboard!

I don't usually like stories about SS, RL, JP, LE as students, but this is great! I'd love to see more of this soon! :)

Author's Response: That is a huge compliment! I'm hoping to post more soon. Enjoy!

Congrats on the Honorable Mention! I just love this story. :~) It's interesting to see a situation that is sometimes chillingly like Harry's will be in another couple of decades through the "Severus-filter." James' comment about the "wrong sort" is such a scary echo of Malfoy's comments. And the scene where Severus is listening to them talk about him in the corridor is so painful--what snots the Marauders are! But that's how I like to see them portrayed, and you've done a very convincing job of showing them as pretty typical self-centered preteens. Seeing Lucius as a prefect really clinches the sense of where we are in time, and how much is yet to happen and to change for the worse in these young people's lives. Well done!

Author's Response: It's said that history tends to repeat itself, and while there will be some parallels between Harry's and Snape's lives they will be far from identical. Now don't be so hard on the Marauders; they aren't all that bad. After all they are very protective of each other, and Remus Lupin tried to be friends with Severus. Thanks for putting up with me while I was writing this! ><

What a really cool take on the identity of the hooknesed man in Snape's memory! I love how you are portraying everyone so far in the story. The sorting hat's song sounded like it could have come from Rowlings pen. I'm so looking forward to the rest of this.

Author's Response: Thank you! I'm definately planning on writng more.

I've already read this several times and told you how I felt about it. The only thing I can add now is that it is such a logical explaination for so much. I can really see things happening this way.

Author's Response: As always thank you for your input on this.
