| So much neat stuff in this chapter. :~) Your Sorting Hat song sounds so authenic! And it's funny how Severus is starting to get annoyed with Lily's very female behavior. It's spooky seeing Lucius as a prefect. And Dumbledore's comments are spooky, too. And spookiest of all is the similarity of Severus' argument with the Sorting Hat to Harry's. Well done! I look forward to more. Author's Response: I'd like to think that the hat wouldn't have put him in Slytherin right away. I really believe that one must almost ask to be put there. | "I don't approve of students who find others' punishments funny." I don't know why I love that line so much, but I do. It's so thoroughly...McGonagall.

| I feel so bad for him, listening to them talk about him that way! And poor Remus--he's being bullied as much as Severus is, really. What a shame! :~( Author's Response: I had the impression that Severus and Remus could have been friendly. Remus was just too worried about maiking friends that he just went along with everything. | |||

| Preteen disaster at its finest! Poor kid at least he didn't chuck on her although doing so on Sirius and James would have funny. I like how wishy washy Remus tried to stick up for him. The ending with its little bit of I'm not old enough to know what romance is yet romance was so sweet.

| The girl had two Muggle parents; he had one Muggle parent. Dear Merlin, being a half-blood made him only one step away from being a Mudblood himself! | Sirius could probably have done with a few extra dunkings in the lake that he didn't get. The reference to Severus' old, written-in books was lovely.
