This is a very realistic and beautiful description of motherhood. Nicely done. :) - SIW

What a sweet start to life. I'd be interested to see your take on how Tobias' piss-poor idea of fatherhood twisted the poor little guy, and why Eileen let it happen...
Author's Response: You will see in chapter two, which has just been sent to my wonderful beta. |

Very tender moment between mother and child. It is always so nice to read a story about Severus's early years but I don't think I have read much about his birth or any moments as a baby. Very nice indeed.
Author's Response: Thank you. I always try to find something original to write about. Hopefully you will like the rest of the story as well. |

"There is *snip* a St. Severus of Avranches the patron saint of -- you guessed it -- weavers. That feast day is February 1st."
. . .
Well now.
Is that so?
*blink*
Please do continue. I like that you updated the story.
Author's Response: Thank you. I will update and admit that I am just too geeky for my own good. :^) |

I loved this by the way . . . meant to review a couple days ago and got side tracked. We always want the best for our perfect, untainted little babies . . . and then they grow up.
Author's Response: I understand the side-tracked thing and the sentiment. :) Thanks for the review! |

Oh, this is so sweet. I like your Eileen and your explanation for her choosing to leave the Wizarding World. Those 2 St Severuses....JKR must have thought she died and went to Heaven when she picked out this name for this character!
Author's Response: When we learned a little more about his background, I decided to research the name and needless to say many things fell into place and started to make sense. It's very possible that JKR did the "happy dance" when she came across the name. |

After I read this I went back and reread your first version. I was surprised there was no review from me because I did read it when you first posted it. It didn't take much to make it compatible with canon, just changing her name did most of it and then the mention of marrying a Muggle and that now she worried that her father and brother would face temptation. I see you made it God rather than gods, I'm not a believer but it's good to see somebody stare down the PC Police. Now this story provides continuity and a backstory for your "Deathday Festival" story. It shows that Severus had been greatly loved by someone, just as JKR has said.
Author's Response: I think you reviewed at the other site. Just a few tweaks and now that I'm armed with a little more information, I think I can added a bit more to the story. It's not so much a matter of staring down the PC police as it is as it is exploring a possibility. I can't wait for the DDF story to be posted. |
