Reviews for Eileen's Hope

Adorable, Tobias Snape wasn't exactly as mean as I would've thought so. One particular line made me giggle-"Lucky bloke." It was incredibly funny to read a man being so quick on wanting to have sex with his wife since she just gave birth. Having his son snuggled with his wife made him jealous? I love it!

Author's Response: He also doesn't know the big ugly secret his wife is hiding. I'm working on reconstructing the last two chapters of this; they were lost when my flashdrive was broken. :( But I will post them as soon as I can.

Just finish reading both of the chapters and have enjoy them very much. What a comforting thought to think that his parents may have love him so much. You write so beautiful. I want to know why you thought that Snape was Catholic.

Oh, I like this, and I do want to know how it goes on. I'm slowly coming to the conclusion - independently, mind you! - that Severus's parents may have had a happy and near-normal home, at least when he was very small. I imagine we have different ideas about the tragedy that intervened, and I'm looking forward to seeing how your story develops

Author's Response: Thank you. Currently I'm working on the two final chapters. This story is really a prequel to my young Snape story Meant to Be... Enemies?, which you may also enjoy.

So, his parents did love each other when he was a baby. And they seemed to have at least a cordial relationship when his Uncle William offered to send him to Hogwarts. In this storyTobias is not the hard man full of meaness and violence he is painted to be in most of the other stories I've read about his childhood. If that's so, and I hope it is, what made him into the person we see today? It had to be something more than being bullied by the Marauders that made him turn to Voldemort when he did. I think it was probably Eileen and Tobias raised him that made him see the error of his ways and turn to Dumbledore. I imagine that Eileen and Tobias were both dead by that time.

Author's Response: There had to be some reason she would marry him. Keep in mind that Eileen is keeping a huge secret from Tobias at some point it has to come out.

What a sweet start to life. I'd be interested to see your take on how Tobias' piss-poor idea of fatherhood twisted the poor little guy, and why Eileen let it happen...

Author's Response: You will see in chapter two, which has just been sent to my wonderful beta.

Very tender moment between mother and child. It is always so nice to read a story about Severus's early years but I don't think I have read much about his birth or any moments as a baby. Very nice indeed.

Author's Response: Thank you. I always try to find something original to write about. Hopefully you will like the rest of the story as well.

"There is *snip* a St. Severus of Avranches the patron saint of -- you guessed it -- weavers. That feast day is February 1st."
. . . Well now. Is that so? *blink* Please do continue. I like that you updated the story.

Author's Response: Thank you. I will update and admit that I am just too geeky for my own good. :^)

I loved this by the way . . . meant to review a couple days ago and got side tracked. We always want the best for our perfect, untainted little babies . . . and then they grow up.

Author's Response: I understand the side-tracked thing and the sentiment. :) Thanks for the review!

Keep going! This is cute and kudos on doing your research.

Author's Response: Thank you for the kind review. Chapter 2 is almost ready for posting.

Author's Response: You're welcome! Bringing delight to someone's day makes it all worth while.
