I'm very glad you are enjoying it so far. There is, indeed, much more. The entirety of the story encompasses 57 chapters and an Epilogue, all of which is complete in the writing and merely undergoing final beta edit and polish. | *pause in awed silence* Wow. This chapter (29/30/31) is magnificent. I love the rigid self-control you give Severus in all his scenes with Lucius and at Malfoy Manner. And Severus coolly performing Unforgivables and Dark Magic as if flicking crumbs off his robes. Wonderful!! I "feel" but don't quite remember the specifics of little details and tendrils of plot that you've edited out and it really distills the story, making it more intense and of greater impact. The way this chapter unrolled left my heart pounding and then breaking as Severus retreats from the one person that gave his life new meaning and gave him happiness. *sniff* Author's Response: Ah, thank you! I especially adore reviews from people who have read the 'unrefined' version and are now re-reading the more 'polished' version. Most of the changes, I hope, are 'little', as you say, but I do feel like they improve the story immensely. I am very fortunate to have such a team of betas help me edit out what doesn't need to be there. I'm glad you are enjoying the re-read, and again, my apologies for the stall in updates. | |||

| SIGH! poor Rowena, poor severus....
poor me. You just do this to torture me, don't you?
Honestly I do like full of angst, where the hero suffers emotionally right up to the point where he should break.
But I also came to love Rowena and her Severus and I'm craving for a happy ending for the both of them (just not to soon).
