That's a beautiful piece and a lovely read! MM/SS is my favourite pairing, being it romantic or not, and the interaction in your tale is simply lovely.

Author's Response: Thank you very much. I'm so glad you liked it. :)

Very enjoyable...a stark reminder of the lonliness and hardship Snape must have to face, after all that we know he has been in involved in has happened. Good story! ~HR

Nicely done. I think you perfectly captured Severus. That the denizens of Hogsmeade would be less then accommodating is entirely plausible. I like how his desire not to fail led him to do something that managed to raise him up in the eyes of one of his peers. I love the idea of exploring young Severus' early days as a teacher.

Good story. Is there more? It would be interesting to see how Minerva and Severus get along. The only thing I would nitpick is that I don't think most wizards would suspect that Severus was a death eater otherwise Dumbledore's hiring of him would have been more controversal. It is possible that Severus misinterpreted Mr. Shaw's response because of his own guilt though.

Author's Response: Thank you. :) No, there isn't any more. This was just a little piece that I wrote based on a prompt from a friend. My thought on the Death Eater whispers was that the Prophet probably printed the names of all people picked up, held, and suggested to be Death Eaters. Snape was brought to some sort of trial; even if the outcome of that was never made public, the fact that he was arrested or interrogated very well might have been.
