| The eagle patronus is great! I've read too many stories where it's a snake or raven or panther (feline grace is one of Severus' traits, though). But I think eagle is perfect in your story. It's strong and regal and dignified, but also it's a sign of soaring, lifting, freedom--all things that Severus is coming to know through his love for Rowena and Katrina. I really enjoy your story-telling. Author's Response: Thank you very much. I really had to ponder this a great deal as I was drafting the story, but really, it was the only thing which 'fit'. My apologies for such a long delay in answering reviews and updates. Between holidays and health/real-life issues for myself and my betas, we've had a hard time meshing with our availability. My nine-year-old daughter had a ruptured appendix at the beginning of February and was very sick, only now getting back to 'normal'. | I should say so. Lucius DOES need reminding. But then again if the Dark Lord is having trusting problems with Severus now I can't help but wonder what will happen when he reminds Lucius of his oath. Well that is one of the better parts of being a long time reader first time poster...well not really, but being the reader is good when it comes to troubles such as these. An Eagle how sweet...that has a double meaning I'm guessing. Although his mother's chest had an Eagle on it I'm also guessing that Severus' patronus is an Eagle because he has happy memories of himself and Rowena....Rowena being a Ravenclaw??? Well that just my theroy anyway. Fantastic story as always, although I must be selfish and ask why you offered all the teachers and students chocolate but....I don't get offered a Chcolate Frog? Thats just plain mean! lol. Looking forward to the next chapter. Author's Response: *sends a dozen chocolate frogs* There you are. It is insightful for me to have a look 'inside' what a reader is thinking as the story goes along. Lucius gets his reminder in the next chapter, with a bit of lemon at the end.
