Beautifully written, and astonishingly believable. I admire your thoughtful choice of words and your gentle imagery. And I LOVE how you characterize Hooch! *applauds* Cúthalion

Oh, poor Snape. Such a hard life, so much pain.. I like what you imagine about his teaching carreer, because it could very easily have been exactly like this...

Snape is a broken man and you conveyed those shards wonderfully.

This was such a wonderful story! I have never liked the Hooch and Snape pairning but this was soooo well done it amazed me! You really brought me to his first year of teaching and to the end in such a touching way. Well done! 10+++++

Loved it! You make both characters so very sympathetic, and telling the story alternately from both of their perspectives really worked well, because they were seeing things completely differently so much of the time. Hooch was wonderfully tough; she made a great love interest, strong and intelligent and independent. Turning Snape's quietude into a manifestation of shyness worked really well also; it was great to see Hooch bring him out of his shell. This was well written, and I think the strength of the characters was your crowning achievement. The story was driven by their personalities.
