What a lovely story!

Vocalion, this was a terrific story. I'm so glad I've newly discovered DeviantART, and that picture of Snape in his kilt. Because of that, I found this story, which is a new favorite of mine. I can tell you're a real musician, and you're a decent poet, besides. This story was a real pleasure to read, and I look forward to the others at this site. Bless you!

Author's Response: Thanks for reading and reviewing! :-)

Vocalion, I just finished reading Highly Improbable for the 6th time. Every time I read it, it makes me smile, laugh and brightens my day. I originally started reading it when you were posting it on Muggle Net, and I was overjoyed to find it on SH. It's hands down my favorite Snape FF and it loses none of its humor, wit and cleverness from reading to reading. Bravo on such a fantastic story. You are incredible writer.

Author's Response: Six times! You are so sweet. Thanks for the kind words.

Oh Merlin!-- that was one of the best stories ever! I loved all the music and wordplay and pineapples. I can't wait to read your other stories. Actually you've made me nostalgic about my teenage quatrain-writing. Anyways, if only the HP story ended like yours did-- w/ a happy ending for Snape. Then again, he's probably out there hanging out w/ Elvis. Wanna know something funny...I bought a DrPepper fr a vending machine last night, and a Diet DrPepper came out instead!

Author's Response: Thanks for stopping by to have a read! Curious about the Diet Dr. Pepper. Well, next time you see a pineapple, think of Snape and Clancy. :-)

The first story I read in the SS-archive was recommended by a friend (LunaSneep). It is an amazing story so well integrated with the books that you actually can place all events in the original story line. You almost have the feeling that it was written with the help of JKR. The story is full of comical notes and romantic encounters. I don't wanna address anything in the story because I hate to spoil the fun for future readers. I think with a little expansion and depth this could be published as an additional story to the HP heptalogy (eh...is that a word?) My compliments to all that worked on this marvelous story!!!

Author's Response: I'm delighted you and your friend enjoyed the story! Much of the fun of writing this piece was trying to keep it within canon (through HBP, at least), so thanks for noticing! :-)

Hi, I wanted to let you know that I got the CDs in the mail, and I listened along with each one as I reread the chapters. Somewhat older and wiser now, I understand some of the jokes that I didn't get before and oh God, I nearly died laughing. I'm so very appreciative of the music, especially since they're songs that I normally don't listen to on my own. But I've found some new favorites like "You Are Love", "Nobody's Heart Belongs to Me", and of course "Pineapple Princess"! Rereading the story I'm once again awed by your wit and cleverness; so many things in the story just flow so easily into each other, and wouldn't be able to if Clancy wasn't such an original character. Thank you so much for the CDs and for the story. It's given me so much laughter and enjoyment.

Author's Response: I'm glad you enjoyed the CD! Thanks for letting me know. I realized after sending them out that I omitted a page from the programs. I'm in the process of emailing the page file so you can print it out and add it. Thanks for reading! ~Vocalion

I am out of words, may I say that this is the best I've read for a period of a year and two months? every single chapter brought nothing but laughter, tears and excelllent plot. It is a story I'm sure to read for many years to come. It trully inspired my artistic side and it still brings me moments of inspiration. I am sure that many will agree with me that this story brought us nothing but good moments, excellent comedy and sweet/sour love that left us breathless; the genious displayed by Clancy swept us off our feet and made us believe that not every Snape fic has to have a sad, tragic ending; a story of pure love certainly gave us hope. Thank you Vocalion for giving us the chance to peak into this world, to have a chance to see this fresh character, thank you for giving us the freedom to dream of love, magial love ;-)

Author's Response: You know, I just realized you spell your name with one L here and with two on your LJ. No wonder I can never remember how to spell your name! :-D Thank you for the very nice review. It's encouraging that you and the majority of reviewers understood what I was trying to do.

Vocalion, when I first started reading Highly Improbable I didn’t even have an account over at MNFF. But your story compelled me to get one. I just had to tell you how much I was enjoying this story! So, here we are, nine months later and the story that started it all for me is ending. *sigh* This has to be my favourite scene, it’s funny but the vivid images it conjured in my head---I just can’t seem to shake them! *giggles* The flying conditions were perfect. Low, dense clouds obscured them from view. So far, so good, Clancy thought, holding her arm gripped tightly around Snape's waist. She leaned in toward him, with her face in close proximity to his. Laying her head against his shoulder, she peeked furtively at him. She studied the wisps of long hair whipping across his dark, glittering eyes. She noted the determined set of his jaw and the profile of that remarkable nose. Wow! Even I am in awe of Snape at this moment! Her mouth was only inches away from the row of tantalizing black buttons. Imagining that they must taste like sweet, succulent raisins, Clancy flicked her tongue to test the theory, but couldn't quite reach them. With her free hand, she twiddled the fifth button from the top. She had to admit that Severus Snape didn't look a bit better than he did the first time she ever saw him; nonetheless, she was mad about him! And so you make me think of those buttons—every time I have raisins! Her flicking of her tongue in an effort to reach them—probably the funniest of images! "Hand me my wand from my wand pocket, will you Clancy?" Snape asked, still trying to get used to the preposterous sound of her name. "It's closer to your reach than it is to mine. I'll use a Cleaning Charm to get your filth off of me." Clancy located the wand, fumbled it, and watched it fall gracefully downward and disappear into the clouds. "Oh, dear!" "What's the matter, now?" "Your wand - I accidentally dropped it." "WHAT!" Snape yelled. "I'll never be able to find it. You miserable, incompetent, menace!" "It was an accident," she insisted. "I've a good mind to double back and lighten my load over the Channel! Here - see how you like this!" He yanked her bag off her shoulder and sent it hurtling downward. Now that was genius! Of course Snape would throw her bag down! She’s made him a mess AND lost his precious wand. OMG! I was rolling on the floor when I read this. "Well then, allow me. EVANESCO!" Clancy cried, poking the wand directly into Snape's chest. The charm worked much too well. Not only did it remove her breakfast from his clothing, it removed his clothing. He was left with only his underwear and a bandage wrapped around his left forearm. "Now look what you've done! As soon as we land, I'm going to thrash the tar out of you!" "Oh, Severus, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to - " Clancy intended to apologize sincerely, but she burst out laughing, instead. So Snape is wandless and practically nude! And we all burst out laughing as well. "I am fully in control. Nothing can possibly go wrong." Best Snape line ever! But, Vocalion, you were in control and you landed us safely on the lawn of the Cottage of Contentment. *sigh* A happy ending for our pair. “Well, Severus…every woman’s idea of heaven is a little bit different.” And every woman’s idea of Severus is a bit different too, but mine will forever be your Snape. Thank you for writing this. I’ll always remember it and you. - Sea Isle Witch

Author's Response: Gosh, it seems like ages ago since I wrote that flying scene or since I've even read it! When EllieK and I decided to be brave and post our Snape stories at Mugglenet last year, we had no idea what they'd make of Snape/OFC over there. But we won a few converts. And I'm very glad to have made your acquaintance because of it. Thank you very much, SeaIsleWitch! :-)

I don't know whether to cheer or to cry! I can't believe it's done! Thank you, thank you, thank you. I've had so much fun reading your story. I've been consistently impressed with your sharp wit, your way with words, and, perhaps most of all, your depiction of Snape. You had no mercy on the man, and yet you obviously love him! He's nasty and wonderful all at once. And who would have thought that Snape could be so damn funny? Only in your capable hands, my dear. He truly met his match with Clancy. I find them to be a very romantic couple, even if they are rarely sentimental. An ideal relationship ... they challenge each other to the end. I feel so honored to have been along for the ride. Congrats on finishing, and thank you for such a wonderful story.

All the best,
Sophie

Author's Response: Thank you, Sophie! I'm very touched by your comments, so about the best I can come up with at the moment is just thanks. :-)

Wonderful!! I do hope this will not be your last foray into fan fiction, you've got a real knack for mixing the drama and emotion with absurdity that is just right up my alley. Fabulous, dear... truly fabulous! *grin* GG

Author's Response: Thank you. I'm not planning on writing any more Snape stories, but if publishing houses slam their doors in my face, I may be back with another tale between my legs. :-D
