Reviews for A Matter of Malevolence

Wow, this is an exciting story. I love the "treasure hunt"! This is a brilliant adventure, in Marauder times. I've never seen any adventures for Severus before - just for the Gryffies. I hope you post the next chapter soon!

I see fifteen-year-old Lucius is well on his way to seducing his eleven-year-old schoolmate. Given the traditions of boarding schools (and Hogwarts is VERY traditional) I can't see any other possible way to explain his behavior. "Because I like you, Severus."

I really enjoy this story. I hope you continue it.

Author's Response: Thank you very much! New chapters are on their way.

Oh, I love this story. It makes me want to wring Dumbledore's neck. Wonderful how he has time to play chess with psychpathic paintings, but none to do anything about the horrendous bullying of which he is AWARE. Grr. Your Malfoy is brilliant: Rowling *tells* us he's charming and charismatic, but doesn't show it. I always figured the devil would have to be attractive, or everybody'd be onto him. So Hogwarts puts all the difficult kids in Slytherin, where they get all the therapy they need, right? Well no. Just hope for the best, right! Where is Father Flanagan when you need him? --Please keep going. It's worth the wait.

Author's Response: Father Flanagan! HAHAH! You have made my day with that reference. Thank you for the review, and I'm so glad you're enjoying the story!

Hey! That's really a great story - I think one of the best Maradaur's aera-ones I have ever read! I feel so sorry for him. I hope that there are some people (beside Malfoy) around who will help him!

Thank you very much for your story! And please update! :)

Author's Response: Thank you so much! Now that my newlywed life is settling down a bit, I can get back to this story. :D I'm so glad you enjoyed it!

Terrific! i don't usually like fics about Snape's chilhood but this is so well written i had to make an exception. I also like the way you're portraying Lucius, not just mean and snooty like a lot of people write him but he seems pretty nice.

Author's Response: Thanks a ton! Yes, Lucius is tons of fun to write, too. Once out of Harry's point of view, he has a lot of good qualities. :D

Facinating. Looking forward to the next chapter.

Author's Response: (sorry I took so long to respond - just got married, and have been a bit distracted. :D) Thank you so much!

Loved your story's first chapter. Your Snape sounds like mine, to a T. Dumbledore is characterized beautifully. Now Lucius seems a little too concerned about the first years - but here he is seen without the Harry filter. I like thinking of him just as a 100% villain, but you've made him more human, and interesting!

Author's Response: (Thanks for your patience! I've recently married, and was a bit distracted. :D) Thank you! I tried to look at him - well, as you said, without the Harry filter. Is he "nice?" Eh... he sees something worth working with, I think. But there's a little niceness in there. The other DE's don't dislike him, do they? :D

Forgot all about the Knights of Walpurgis, predecessors to the Death Eaters.

Author's Response: (Thanks for your patience! I've recently married, and was a bit distracted. :D) Wasn't that cool? Ah, I do so love Rowling's mind. :D
