Reviews for Highly Improbable

I listened to Judy Garland singing "If Love Were All", and broke into tears. I hope Severus grows up from the pain he's giving Clancy, that's all. Painful, excellent chapter. Thank you.

*Screams while reading* I LOVE VICTOR BORGE!!!! Anyhoo . . . love the story; it's taken me days just to get this far and now I haveta go to work on this sad note u____u; Awesome story. . . . What language? Didn't notice anything?

Author's Response: Ah, a fellow Borge fan! I have readers as young as 13 over at Mugglenet, so I suppose I tend to be overly cautious. I've never been too sure where PG-13 ends and R begins, as far as what language is appropriate. Thanks for reviewing!:-)

Oh, great ! Funny and delightful. Please go on.

Author's Response: Thanks, smaranda. Glad you're enjoying it.

I am definitely sad, I never thought it would be so hard to see them apart, but is has been painful as if they were real people that lived next door. Poor Clancy and I hope Snape suffers a little more for her sake. Dumbledore’s words were very well chosen; at last I hear some scolding to Snape’s tactics. I was not bothered by Clancy’s language, in fact I was expecting it, my OC is more foul mouthed that sweet Clancy, so I was clearly expecting Clancy to be really aggravated, and to show her temper added reality to the story. Congratulation again Karina, for a wonderful chaper : )

Author's Response: Thanks. I suppose I was feeling a little guilty, as I know children as young as 13 are reading this over at Mugglenet. But as uncomfortable as I felt writing the words, I have no problem whatsoever using them in real life. :-D

I'm looking forward to see how Clancy will react when she comes 'to term' with this! It really isn't going is this now? I mean she finds letters where none of what really 'happened' is mentioned and Snape is now suffering from a new sort of ...ok don't know the English word for that...great... “There can be no justification for what you’ve done. You may pride yourself on never wearing your heart upon your sleeve, but you wear it upon your ego, which is a much more precarious location.” Indded. Btw nice chapter title I can just hear Beach Boys going: "Help me Rhonda - help help me Rhonda" lol - pathetic I know! lol

Author's Response: It's not pathetic at all! In fact, I had the name Rhonda picked out over a year ago for Clancy's best friend, just so I could use that as a chapter title. :-D

This was a FANTASTIC chapter! I loved every word in it. That exchange on the tower... Clancy's reaction to her memory loss... I don't know how you can combine sadness and laughter so well, but you do it and make it seem effortless. And that party? I always wanted to know what these American 4th of July parties were like... not anymore, LOL. Zip! Go the strings of my heart. Priceless! More, please!

Author's Response: I'm glad you enjoyed it. I'm sure somewhere in America there must be some decent parties. Unfortunately, I only get invited to the bad ones. :-)

P.S. - Clancy's strong dislike of making potato salad on the Fourth felt so authentic! ;-D

Author's Response: Yes, didn't it though? ;-) When I did timeline research for this chapter, I discovered that the Lexicon had set the date for Hogwarts students to depart on July 3, so that set the stage for fanfic imitating RL. Does the P.S. in your comment stand for postscript, or potato salad? Just curious. :-D

My heart is breaking for both of them. I love the exchange between Clancy and Brad. We're all here for the brains over the beauty, the soul over the personality ... that exchange just reinforced why I love Snape (and your Snape especially). I also thought that putting Snape's thoughts beside his words was a brilliant idea. And when he and Dumbledore argued on Astronomy Tower ... perfect foreshadowing. Oh, and one more thing - tell Clancy I understand what it's like to wake up and think, where did those years go? Unfortunately, I don't think it was due to a doctored Doctor Pepper! ;-D Great chapter. Hope that the next installment brings Clancy and Snape a little peace. Best, Sophie

Author's Response: Brad isn't all bad. Aunt Hilly liked him, after all. But then, I think she was a lot like Dumbledore and tried to find the good in everyone. I'm trying to keep this story light, but the last two chapters got away from me, I'm afraid. Time will pass more quickly starting with the next chapter, so happiness or something (?) is just around the corner... :-D

I'm sad for Clancy, poor thing! I hope you torture Snape a little bit, well make that a lot more, with the mirror and bell. The description of what she was going through was believable. And that party...I've been to that party! In another life, though...and I ran! I was particularly happy when Brad got what he deserved! How dare he talk Clancy like that! I'd only heard of one of the songs (Old Black Magic), so it was interesting to learn something! Well, of course I'm eager to see what happens next! Well done, as usual! PS I noticed embrowned as well! LOL!

Author's Response: Poor Brad. He'll come in handy though, a bit later. As for the songs, you've never seen Disney's "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs"? That's what dear little Amy's selection was from. :-D

Aww. Tell me she's gonna get mad enough to go storming back! Never mind Sevvies little addition, it was a mean trick of Dumbledore's to make her forget everything.

Author's Response: Well, she's certainly mad enough to go storming off somewhere, but she can't return to someplace she doesn't remember ever being. Dumbledore wanted to protect her, although it does seem like a cruel trick, I must agree.
