I like this chapter......their talk on the way to Hogsmeade is so revealing. It's one of my favorite scenes, along with dinner and show. OK, pretty much the whole chapter is "one of my favorite scenes". ;-) Author's Response: grin I love this chapter, too. :) I'm so glad to see you here. Entertaining and very interesting. It's amazing that you have written a past for Severus that I have contemplated myself. It is confusing to me though that I thought for sure that Severus's mother was alive in the books and living in an old age home of sorts in St. Mungos and his father was dead. Odd, maybe it is from a fan-fic I read a long time ago. Author's Response: Ah, no, not until HBP do we learn any canon information at all about Snape's parents/family. That is what makes this story AU now. I've seen lots of fanon family history for dear Severus, but JKR was utterly silent on the subject until HBP. ;) It is still fun to speculate on, even with the new information we've been given. JKR has been very kind as to leave us plenty of plot holes in which to play. I'm glad you're enjoying the story.
