Wow. I about died when Severus started talking to the little girl in German. I loved seeing his softer side in that scene. It was very touching when he picked her up. I fell in love with him all over again! Poor Severus, he really does despise himself. I hope Rowena can help him move past that. I love how she's not afraid to tell him the truth and to get in his face when he's acting like a jerk. Wonderfully written. I love it! |

This is one of my favorite chapters. great!
Author's Response: Thank you so much. It's always fun to see which chapters people tell me are their favourites. This one gets my vote for 'right up there', too. :) |

I'm looking forward to read the next chapters! This was very well written - very different from other fanfiction. Great work! But perhapse I would change "Die Schokolade" in "Schokolade", "Die" makes no sense.
Author's Response: Ah, thank you! That's what I get for not asking my German-beta to double check my last-minute changes. I've edited it. I'm glad you are enjoying the story. I love hearing what the reader is thinking as they move through the story. |

Very, very powerful.
Author's Response: Ah, this is one of my favorite chapters. The first real glimpse we have that Severus does, indeed, have a heart--which surprises him as much as anyone else. Thank you, it means a lot to me that you liked it. |

Aw, Snape found a little friend. :)
He's so stubborn. Very IC, but damn annoying. Lol. I can share in Rowena's frustration, and her compassion.
Author's Response: Thank you very much. It means a lot to me when someone comments on Snape's characterization particularly. It is very hard to write the man in a 'romance' and still keep him *IN* character. And me, personally, I hate a lovey-dovey Snape--that is just not Snape. I'm glad you think he remained in-character--and yeah, he's annoying enough to want to slap around the face sometimes, isn't he? But we love him anyway. *wink* |
