June W 2005.08.30 - 12:40AM 3: Interlude One Signed
Do you promise to not kill off or Dementorize Severus in this fic? I'd rather have you kill off Harry! Thanks for having Ginny develop a backbone (finally) and tell off Harry. So is Draco still alive? I like Mikayla; perhaps she can be Severus' computer tutor. Here's some virtual chocolate cake for your plot bunnies .... with a side of overdone eggs and oatmeal ...

Author's Response: Thank you so much, June W! Do you think I'd really hurt Snape? My Snape? I'll leave that for JK Rowling. You'll find out about Draco sooner or later. Perhaps sooner. Maybe during the next Interlude. I'm sure Severus would love being taught by a six year old. Though I think she could teach him a few lessons. The bunnies are exhausted, but they do say thank you! As do I!

Ahh, poor Severus. He wrings my heart with his sadness. And poor Ginny! How desperate she must be, to break it off with Harry that way. And poor Harry! Still so sure his arch-nemesis lives. This is a poignant interlude. May I have more, please?

Author's Response: Thank you so much, Subversa! Severus really hasn't had much experience with being happy. I hope he recognizes it when he has it. I think Ginny will eventually be okay, but Harry... he is obsessed with the thought that Severus Snape is still alive and gloating over it all. The bunnies are working on the next chapter as I type. Thanks again!

The anger that Harry is feeling is very strong. You feel it through Ginny and hear it in the hollowness of his voice. Poor Severus is going to position himself for a deadly confrontation with Harry if he begins to reach out. He can't have a "life" and live! This is really going well. I like your style in this story and the path you are taking us down. Great job!!

Author's Response: Thank you so much, greenwood! I have seen Harry as wanting to have someone to blame whenever things go wrong. As he hates Severus, Snape becomes an easy target... even if he is dead. The irony of course is that he isn't. So happy you like this!

Wonderful chapter. Loved the setup Snape has in his "midwestern town". A very unlikely place to find him to be sure. Look forward to more.

Author's Response: Thank you so much, greenwood! It does seem to be the perfect hiding place -- a former Death Eater hiding among the Muggles in the Midwest. :-) who would think to look for him there?

I'm so glad that you updated. I read the first two chapters of this story on the sly at work today. It held a particular interest to me once I got into it. I can identify with your ofc as a single mom and waitress. Your description of a college town and working-class environment sounds like personal experience. While I'm not usually appreciative of Snape in America! stories this one has held my interest because you have such valid plot. Also, and I know this is not where you are going-- but I was reminded of that Waitress/Customer relationship from the film As Good As It Gets. Great work!

Author's Response: Thank you so much, TRE! This does have several places I've experienced in my life, but they all aren't in the same place. As Good As It Gets... there may be some similarities, but I think there are more differences. One really big difference. :-) I'm glad you like this!

Oh, Miss LariLee -- you hooked me with the first damn line. "Don't look now, but your boyfriend's back." ::whacking head on computer monitor:: What is so appealing about the idea of Severus Snape lurking in some suburban library, spying on precocious tykes and absentmindedly fondling books on breastfeeding? Thank you for this, and more, pretty please?

Author's Response: Thank you so much, Subversa! You know, I didn't think of him fondling the book... but I think it might come up again in the future. :-)

I'm already in love with Mikayla and I have the notion that she is going to wrap Severus around her little finger, though it may take some chapters to get there. She is a very gifted girl. Maggy also is pictured wonderful. A woman who works her ass off to provide for her family and as a result neglects herself. Another wonderful story by LariLee. How are you doing this?

Author's Response: Thank you, apisa_b! I'm so glad you like Maggie and Mikayla! All my doing this? Well, you take a couple of plot bunnies, get them to wrong and watch them reproduce. :-)

Poor Snape and his book on breastfeeding! LOL! So far very entertaining. Good start!

I am really excited for where this story is going. The OC and her daughter are both very likable and can I stress realistic? This is definitely a story I will be checking every day to see if it has updated.

Author's Response: Thank you so much, speakerknee! I'm so glad they're realistic. There should be a new update in a couple of days. I hope you stick with me!
