Reviews for No Good Deed

whitehound 2005.09.21 - 10:26PM 6: Chapter Three Signed
Love Snape's running commentary (and the conclusion that he needs to be much, much drunker). Is he going to gather the courage to visit her in hospital, now he knows where she is?

Author's Response: Thank you so much, whitehound! The only way I could picture Snape watching television is sarcastically. :-) Will he go to the hospital? I doubt it. I think our man is fighting an attraction and it's going to take a lot to get him over that.

Me again, better late than never - Dear LariLee,

It was a ver interesting chapter. I enjoyed the exchange between the cook and the drunken students - I so wish such situation were still normal! Sadly, nowadays a girl can count on no one to help her in such situations.

And the 'reeeal mad' - evil me remembered the '97' Bonnie and Clyde' lyrics ;)

I also liked the Snape's thought and the Maggie's ex's introduction - I smell a twist. It seems to me there's a pattern here, by the way - a woman with a painful past, thanks to her ex... Just like Tricia...

I'm looking forward to reading more,

Greetings from Poland,
Novinha

Author's Response: Thank you so much, Novinha!

Sometimes, coworkers will come to someone's defense due to a close working relationship.

There are similarities, especially with teenage pregnancies -- however, The Brad married Patricia and she lost the baby; JR ran off and left Maggie to raise their daughter alone. And I think most people, especially nowadays, carry around the baggage and the pain of previous relationships. But there will be twists, you know me. :-)

Thanks for sticking with me! Greetings returned from Kentucky,

~Lisa

Thanks for the update! I liked the parts from Severus' diary - it shows his growing attraction to her very well.

Author's Response: Thank you so much, Gannet! And Snape is fighting it so hard. :-)

*bounces on toes* More! More! More! Pretty please with kitties on top? Thank you for doing research on the military angle, and for hitting that ballance between respecting the military and treaing us like humans! (most folks either write angels in uniform or Evil!Murderous!Nasties!) (Some times, I feel like arguing with your assertation that he's not typical! Only sometimes, though.)

Author's Response: Thank you, Andi_Foxfier! I was afraid people might think I was bashing the military by having JR Denbrow there and successful. I have the highest respect for our men and women in uniform, however, every group is made up of individuals and some of those individuals... :-) But they are all human. My uncle served in the Navy during the Korean War, so I hope that gives me the right to say: "Go, Navy!"

Oooo, somehow I have the feeling that the little girl's bio-dad getting hurt is going to have repercussions that will not be good. This chapter feels like another tiny twist of the thumbscrews. When will it all explode in their faces?

Author's Response: Thank you so much, Verity. You're absolutely right. And the explosion... just consider this a countdown.

Testing...Is this thing on? I can't remember if I reviewed this chapter or not. You know I love this story, right? I do! I do! I can hardly wait for Snape to interact with the adult child :) It's going to be a hoot. Where's the rest, woman?

Author's Response: Thank you, looneyluna! I don't know if you reviewed it yet or not, but it's always okay to review it again. :-) I'm looking forward to the Mikayla/Snape scenes myself... possibly even more than the lemons, because I know these lemons are going to be a bit tart at first. The rest of it is in my head, I'm trying to scratch it out now. Thanks again!

Great as ususal but seemed far to short for the wait! HA HA!! There seem to be far too few postings lately so I guess it is a situation of supply and demand (you supply and we demand more!!). I liked the way you set the stage for JR and his soon entry on the world. I have a feeling that his appearence will foster some protective action from Severus and maybe he will realize that he is smitten with her. Look forward to more!

Author's Response: Lol, thanks, greenwood! Would you believe I'm writing as fast as I can? I can honestly say JR's injury will definitely cause some interesting things to happen.

What a coward! Get back in the ring and fight, Snape!

Author's Response: "DON'T CALL ME A COWARD!"

I'm sorry, KarenDetroit, that was just a holdover from HBP. :-) Thank you very much!

Another great addition. It's nice to learn something about that father. Why do I see a confrontation between JR and Severus in the future? It was very much like Severus to mention not going to breakfast because Maggie was too much in his mind. I'm guessing she won't be that easy to forget....And now that you mention it, I'm eagerly awaiting the next chapter of A Right Bastard :-D

Author's Response: Thank you so much, phoenix! Now, just because JR thinks he's entitled to things before, do you really think he would use wounded war hero to try to get a free ride? I guarantee you, he will not be able to forget her. And I'm half way done with the next chapter of A Right Bastard! Cheers!
