It's nice to see Severus being cared for... I thoroughly approve. I'll just go on ahead and read some more... :-D

Author's Response: Thanks. I hope you like where this little mystery goes. :-)

The chalice from the palace has the pellet with the poison :*) Here's hoping things are soon looking up for Sev...

Author's Response: I like the little rhyme. That's cute. Keep reading. :)

This has grown on me: I din't like the first chapter much but your writing-style has improved over time and now I'm keen to see how it turns out.

Minor Britpick: Snape probably wouldn't call the house at Spinner's End a cottage. A Yuppie who had just bought such a place might call it a cottage to make it sound better than it was, but ciottage is usually used to refer to somewhere which is either in the country or detached or both.

Spinner's End would be described as a small end-of-terrace house. If it doesn't have a garden or yard - if it is joined directly to the property behind it as was comon with these little made-for-textile-workers houses which grew up around the cotton mills - it would be called a back-to-back.

Author's Response: Thanks, whitehound. I'm glad it's growing on you. I decided to leave the first chapter a tad vague, since we weren't getting much in the way of visual information. As for the whole Spinner's end, that was part I had written before HBP came out. I'll take a look at picking a better word for that.

The story is flowing well and I like the poison to keep faithfullness. That is a good plot line to follow. We all love to see (no pun intended!) Severus helpless (grin*) it brings the Florence Nightengale out in us all! Good job so far in blending HBP slowly into this. Looking forward to more!

Author's Response: Thanks, greenwood. I've had to make a few minor changes based on HBP, but not too many. The further into the story, the more events are incorporated. More will be coming very soon since the story is almost done. I'm glad you liked the potion. Every now and then I can come up with something that, while not canon, fits into the universe well. :-)

I am looking forward to reading more

Author's Response: Thanks, Silverthreads. Now that the restriction on spoilers is lifted, I'm hoping to have updates every 4 or 5 days or so. The whole thing is almost complete and all the rework for the HBP events is done. :)
