| January 1st or January 9th, what difference would it make other than he would officially be a year older? He does have good reason to feel betrayed, even then no one had his best interests in mind, just as no one has Achlys' best interests in mind. | I'm sorry I didn't get around to reading and reviewing until now, I was surprised to find I was 3 chapters behind. The contractor finally scheduled our bathroom last week, so I had to ge tall my Christmas shopping done before that because he renovations was supposed to also finish the things we wanted done in the basement, he originally was to be here for 2 weeks. He rescheduled that for next month, but now I've been trying to get the mess from all the things we've had done on the house all year cleaned up before Christmas. No, I haven't seen GoF yet, I've been too busy. I prefer to see Potter films when the theater isn't full of noisy kids, so I'll wait until I find a late showing.
I had to reread the last chapter to make any sense of this one and I still couldn't figure out who Mortimer is. I still don't understand why the sex in the intiation, is that just to get us prepared for sex with Snape as part of the special tutoring Voldecrap ordered? An even bigger question is why have public sex or sex at all as part of the intiation. Since all the intiates were Slytherins I doubt that they were virgins and could offer their virginity to Voldefeces. Even Snape in this story was probably not a virgin. Even though you gave no details, I find the idea of it very disturbing. I know things like that do happen in the world we live in, but I also think todays movies, music, and possibly even comic books inspire it in the mentally deranged copycats out there more than it ever happens on it's own. TV can't get away with it as easily, but they also try and they end up inspiring idiot copycats to be even bigger idiots (I wouldn't think it was possible, but they did it, I wonder if there is another term for that level of idiocy), just look at all the so called reality shows, in particular "Fear Factor". I much preferred "The Conference", it was fun to read, really got me into the characters, and that one had my really waiting for the lemons to start because it was romantic and funny. Sorry to be negative, but the world is bad enough and I read fan fic to escape from it for a while. Author's Response: Whoa. Sounds like you're having soooo much fun at your house right now. *whistles lowly* It said in one of the previous chapters that Mortimer is the DADA teacher. I can't quite remember at this point which one. The sex is one of Voldemort's little... indulgences. In my mind. He's such a bastard that I decided to start making him the epitome of it. And no, you can't get away with it, and yes, it is very disturbing. Sorry about all the angst -- I do like to dabble in it -- but I promise it won't last. I'm glad you liked "The Conference" and I don't think I'll be writing stories with so much angst again -- unless they're an experiment with HBP. Don't worry. It'll get better. | your story is great. i love it. i look on here at least once a day to see if you've updated. i am just not one for the...erotic parts. not my cup of tea i guess. but i love the story though, i can't wait to find out where it all leads. | I like angst even less than you, the world would get on much better without it. I gather that the new Deatheaters are all still Slytherin students. Is she their house master? If so, then why the sexual initiation with her? How could she maintain a teacher student relationship with any of them, much less maintain discipline as their housemaster after that. I know Voldecrap is an idiotic asshole, but I would think even he would understand how important it is that discipline be maintained over his newest underlings to keep his power structure intact. Author's Response: Actually I did think of that, and the explanation is in the very beginning of the next chapter (which I am currently proofreading AGAIN). | I enjoyed all the conversations in Achlys' head between her and Kestrel, but the first one was hilarious. I just figured out what betaing is, I thought it was some kind of martial art or something like Tai Chi. Author's Response: *bursts out laughing* Oh god, that's a good one Trickie, I'm sorry. | Since I know what Moody looks like and what he becomes in the future I know why Kestrel was sniggering in her head. But Achlys at least gets laid. Author's Response: At least, right? I have a feeling you're going to like chapter 30... or was it 31? No matter, you'll see when we get there. | Yes, where the devil have you been for so long, I've nearly forgotten what the story is about.
So Moody is a dirty old man, or maybe a dirty not-so-old man. I was hoping that was a dream, I just can't imagine Moody ever turning a woman on, he's not someone I would imagine as a lover. I thought at first that the bit about Severus rescuing her was about Moody before I found out it was about the Dark Mark on her arm. Well at least I know Moody satisfied her. But I am confused. Author's Response: Er. Okay, let's see if I got this. She wanted to kill herself/cut her arm off to get rid of the Dark Mark. Severus saved her. She felt violated and Moody "cleansed" her. I hope that helped, even if I'm confused about what you were confused with, and I don't like my readers to be confused. I'm so glad you're still with me! And Moody? Eh. I indulged myself. -Mel | |||

| Ahh..patience rewarded once agan! I'm with Trickie, filler?? Well written, moves things forward, and its just par for the course as far as angst levels in HP world. And I'm not being flip, just realistic. JKR does like to keep it a bit dark. I enjoyed every.......short.....minute of it!
