| My only complaint is that the chapters are so short! This story has such a good feel to it that it is hard to see the end of the chapter coming. Please keep going! Author's Response: I tend to write short chapters because that's what is most comfortable for me - and this story has a very choppy feel to it, where the chapters are more little snippets of life and the healing process, rather than a play-by-play, if that makes any sense. | |||

| I really like the image of the memory tree. And what could be worse torture than having all your good memories destroyed, knowing that they're there, but that you can access them. And young Severus, what a tug on the heartstrings. This is just a powerful story. :) Author's Response: Thank you. I was really rather fond of the idea of the memory tree myself. | Dumbledore IS going to come back, isn't he? The boy-Severus won't trust him again if he promises to "not be gone long" and fails to return. He should give the boy-Severus a big hug; I still think he'd improve if he had more physical contact. Thanks for updating. Author's Response: Physical contact is such a bizarre prospect. I don't think I really realized it, but there are people whose families simply *do not touch each other*. At all. And for someone who comes from such a background, the respect for personal space becomes extremely important. Not to mention, the potential for any sort of physical contact to be misconstrued as something that it is not. | |||

| sorry l haven't reviewed for a while, i just caught up. loving this, especiallt the dream sequence. if there wasn't already such a long queue i would volunteer to help lick the porions master's wounds (and the other bits for thst matter!) Author's Response: You and I are together on the licking part, at least. :) Sadly, I think I'm rather towards the back of the line, as I only recently found the glory of Snape-fic. | |||
