wow. just, wow. whose mind have you been in?

Author's Response: Just my own. :)

Ooooo, Minerva seems to be onto something. I'm sorry, though, that piecing together the memories is not going as well as one might hope. I look forward, as always, to more.

Author's Response: No one said that this was going to be an easy fix - that would have been the easy way out, and I've never been one to take the easy way if there's a convoluted one available. :)

Powerful chapter! Minerva sure took a chance using the reverse psychology trick to get him to "wake up and smell the coffee" as it were. I know from personal experience that this trick can backfire and cause the person to slide further into whatever negitive frame of mind they are in. Maybe Severus is the type that will try to prove her wrong (we sure can hope!) I am so glad this story is back. I look forward to another chapter soon.

Author's Response: Thank you! That whole real life thing got in the way - stupid life. :)

Hmmmm. I think, perhaps, Minerva being so brutal to him might be what he needs. It looks as if, in the memories that Voldemort created, Minerva and the rest are nothing more than weak caractures that are easily over powered. Yet, with Minerva showing her ire, she is shocking the man, that is why the ooze of his hate slipped from his form for a bit. Perhaps more of her brash, albetit, uncontrolable anger, will help him.

Author's Response: All things in moderation. I'm finding that each of the characters are offering something different to the mix, but each is important. It took a bit to find Minerva's purpose, but she's now in her stride. :)

I'm surprised neither of them recognized the red-haired girl. I guess she wasn't at Hogwarts, so how did Severus have so many memories of her I wonder...

Author's Response: Severus did have a family and a life outside of hogwarts, although it wasn't one that he was probably very fond of.

Your story just gets better and better. Congratulations!

Author's Response: Thank you!

When she was first mentioned, I thought the red-haired was Lily Potter now I'm not so sure. I have a feeling a bit of 'tough love' may be what make a difference with him. Glad to have you back BTW.

Author's Response: Not so much on the Lily Potter theory. The clue was that this girl is a blue-eyed redhead, whereas Lily has green - and one would imagine that Albus and Minerva would recognize her.

Most excellent! I've missed this story; I'm glad you're back! :)

Author's Response: So am I! Life got busy, and something had to give - unfortunately, it was fanfic. :(

tears running unheeded down his cheeks Argh! I hope Minerva gives Severus a break - being Voldemort's prisoner all that time didn't leave Severus untouched or unhurt. Patience, Minerva! Get back there and help Severus!

Author's Response: Patience isn't a virtue that Minerva possesses in any abundance. She can fake it fairly well, but I'm firmly of the opinion that she has a temper and is just as brash as any Gryffindor given half a chance. :)

Everything is flowing together so well. I always look forward to finding this story updated. Please keep it up!

Author's Response: Not to worry - the story is coming along swimmingly, and is nearly complete. The story as it sits here on Occlumency is about a third done. I only have a few more chapters and an epilogue to write, and the rest of it is in queue with my beta, or awaiting final revisions.
