I skipped this and read the summary. Thanks for the summary. What is Emotional Bar Disease, it sound like Norm Peterson banned from Cheers and beer?
Author's Response: You're welcome. Like I said, let it never be said that Melvacaea lets her reviewers and readers suffer through her evil whims. *Smirk* Well, sometimes. And in this case it was the bunny's fault! *whine* It was the bunny's fault!
Remember when Kestrel was talking with Snape after finding out that there was one last painting of her out there? How she just froze up and almost spasmed? She explained to Snape that her magic has a little twitch. If she gets overly emotional about something, like extremely angry, she can't perform magic and her body goes into shock. Better read Chapter 11 again, or at least the part in italics, so that you don't get confused about anything.
(Norm Peterson banned from Cheers and beer... *laughs* My creativity was at nil when I tried to think up a name. Bear with me...)

I just read wytchkat's review and I agree with her about a story without Dumbledore, Lucius, or Voldemort would be great. I get tired of nothing but peril and trouble all the time for Snape. The Conference was full of sexual tension, but no Lucius or Voldemort and very little Dumbledore, that's why I enjoyed it so much. Write more like that, there are so few of them and they are the stories I enjoy the most. I've lived too long and been through too much not to have had my fill of angst and peril in my life. You want that, just watch the news every night, I'd rather have sexual tension, romance, and humor with Snape and an OFC.
Author's Response: Tell me about it. This isn't peril, it's just absolute nosiness. I'll write more of them just for you two. After I finish this, you can count of it. He he, romance, humor, sexual tension, and testosterone... lovely combination, wouldn't you say?

Thanks for the warning, I was beginning to wonder. I would have read and reviewed this when it showed up last night, but it was very late [or maybe very early, the wee, small hours] and I couldn't stay awake any longer. I have one question, after the way she was abused and the way the paintings were portrayed to humiliate her, why didn't she burn them as she got them returned to her? Usually I'm on Snape's side, but in this he was a nosy, lascivious SOB.
Author's Response: Ah, all shall be revealed my friend! All shall be revealed!
*mysterious silence*
Ah, I'll tell you anyway. Nonflammable Charm, thanks to my practical brain. *smirk* I personally love the very, very, very, very last chapter that signifies the end of what will be the trilogy. *smirks again*
I was aiming for that. I hope you scowled... *snigger* Thank you!

i think there needs to be a story written where lucius, voldemort and dumbldore are all taken out in the first chapter-it would make our dear sevvie's life a better place to be. trust is a hard thing to achieve and once sevvie gains kestral's will he be able to keep toeing the line, even if she pushes for more?sounds like she can be very determined. i'm awaiting the next chapter and won't call out my hunters for a bit of well placed angst.good work!
Author's Response: You know what? Maybe I'll write that one. You're right, Sev's like would be much better... and I'm not answering that question. *smirk* She can be determined, trust me on that one.
Oh, thank goodness, no hunters here! *whew!*

Yes, she is reminiscent of Albus Dumbledore. You didn't answer my question about what sort of nun she is. Is she aChristian nun of some type or is she a magical nun, whatever that is?
Author's Response: Whoops! Sorry. Forgot. She's a sort of a mix between Christian and magical, I suppose. I don't specify and even though one of my favorite classes is the humanities, I'm not big on knowing abou the specifics of religion. (I'm agnostic).
Thanks for everything!

The biggest surprise in the story so far is that the nun has a TV. Is she an Orthodox nun? With that town she could possibly be Coptic or some obscure branch of Christianity. Why a town from Saudi Arabia, why not India,or China or somewhere else in the Far East like Thailand? My prejudice is showing, but I find the way the govrnment of Saudi Arabia treats the non-ruling class people is appaling. Then again, that could be why they transported the entire town.
Author's Response: *blink* A TV? *rereads chapter* *swears extremely profusely* I can't believe I did that. Definitely off in la-la land when I wrote this. THANK YOU!
Er... that is the reason they transported it. *Grin*

I read this chapter early this evening when it was first posted. I found it to be a very difficult chapter for me to handle. I wasn't up to reviewing it right after I read it and I'm still having difficulty with it. I hope the next chapter has something brighter and more upbeat in it.
Author's Response: I am sincerely sorry for the angst in this story. Believe me, if it had been someone else, they could have laid on the angst loads thicker. The next chapter is DEFINITELY more upbeat. It's cheerful and we introduce Kestrel's mother figure. *grin*
Please put up with me. Chapter 15 is the thickest amount of angst in the whole story and just for you I will put a summary at the end with all the important details so you don't have to suffer. (unless you WANT to, of course.)
But don't worry. Chapter 12 remains as one of my favorite chapters.

that was a lot to digest!why would the house elf know about the painting? why does that last line make me think of snape's memory where he was killing flies? good job again!
Author's Response: I know it was and I wish that I could have put it more softly. I am sincerely trying to keep angst to a minimum and I believe that I've succeeded. There's is some because they have demons, but there is not as much as I could put in.
The house elf knows about the paintings because she had them done while she was young. I'm glad the last line made you think of that. I put it there because he's talking about the gods and fickle fate, picking out people to have bad pasts.
