Reviews for The Colchian Inheritance

Ahhh that was lovely, bless his soul. So I take it the baby is ok then? It seems quite weird to picture Snape as a dad, I bet he's dead grumpy and boring. He'd never take you to the park to play footy that's for sure. Overall I though this chapter was quite touching, it's nice to see abit more of Mahaut's character and I like the way you went from a under control, predatory Mahaut at the beginning to a completely useless and scared Mahaut in the end. Just shows how quickly things like these can happen, not that i would know or anything! Hehe! I wonder if Dumbledore did find her a job, what would it be? Hmmm. Anyway, I look forward to the next installment, keep me posted. xxxx

Author's Response: Bet you wouldn't say "bless him" to severus' face, he'd sneer and hex you! mind you he's got a sexy sneer. I can't see him playing footie in the park, or quiddicth, but l bet he'd be good on a nature walk, he caould tell you which plants to make potions with. gald you liked the turnabout in mahaut, ther are going to be a few of those from now on. thanks for reviewing!

Yay! The Baby's okay!!! Will Severus be able to "talk" with the baby now? Thank you for not leaving us on a cliffhanger. I hope they tell Ginny so that she doesn't feel like it was her fault Mahaut fainted. Now Mahaut will really have to eat well, get plenty of rest, etc. Thanks for the new chapter!

Author's Response: er, mahaut has no such plans. she's not a resting kinda girl and she's not all that mushy about babies, I'd like to say somehting sarcastic about who severus is going to be able to talk to, but it would blow to much of the plot! the intrigue is merely beginning, i'll submit chapter5 tomoorow, keep reading and thanks for reviewing!

Very interesting indeed - really looking forward to see how much power she has left... And I liked the bit about Mr. Ollivander being a legilimens - that explains a bit. But I reckon he's a bit of an anal retentive, remembering all the wands he's sold... Very sad. Still loving it, and can't wait for the next chapter! x

Author's Response: Ollivander is just wierd, isn't he? and you're definatly right about the sad git part, I've often wondered if there's a Mrs Ollivander, coz you'd have to be a saint ot put up with that at home. thanks for reviewing!

"Mr I’m-so-spooky-I-pee-darkness..." - tee hee!! Still enjoying the story too. Keep posting x

Author's Response: I thought that was a pretty accurate description, and one tha man would secretly approve of. Thanks for reviewing!

What a lovely chapter! She really did need that time with Minerva to just be herself again. I love the debate about why they shouldn't shag in the hall; did they even bother to tidy up the room for Fustian? Very nice scene at Ollivander's, although I think he should've refused to take the extra galleons - no other customers showed up so there was no loss of business. I wonder what would've happened if she tried her old wand's combination - the black poplar and phoenix feather. She should feel encouraged that a phoenix feather is still her core - the power; I'm guessing she has more power than she suspects. Thanks for the new chapter!!

Author's Response: we all need a girls night in now and then, don't we? I come from a family of tradesmen, and I think he'd take the money, especially on a saturday, it's a busy day, i never mentioned other people trying the door coz it seemed to interfere with the narrative too much, glad you liked it though. all i'm saying is that there's more to power than magic, Mahaut has always known that. thanks for reviewing!

Oh, I am so glad Mahaut and Minerva finally had a girls' night with giggling and nail polish! I hope Ginny decides to take up Mahaut's help; I'm surprised Ginny was taken aback by Mahaut's scars - Ginny has seen Moody with his scars and missing eye, and she saw what Mahaut looked like after escaping Bella. The scars wouldn't bother me as much as the thought of 18 years with Bellatrix. Oh well, I'm looking forward to seeing what happens with Mahaut's new wand tomorrow. Thanks for the new chapter!

Author's Response: Don't worry, ginny will be back. i think she was more taken aback by the cotrast between Mahaut's poise and the state of her hands than the actual scars, she would have expected madam Pomfrey to be able to heal them more, I think. thanks for reviewing!

Poor Ginny! Although to be honest Mahaut wasn't as nasty as she could have been, at least she made her point. I always thought a job as an Auror would be cool, maybe not so much now! I'm always glad to read things about Ginny, I've always thought Rowling never made full use of her, I think she's such a good character, you never know she might have a better role in the next book. Although I'm finding it hard to really picture Mahaut physically after she returned, especially her hand. Maybe I have a poor imagination for the grotesque, or maybe just a poor imagination full stop hehe! Anyway, look forward to reading more, keep me posted. xx

Author's Response: Well, obviously mahaut's scare tactics worked on someone then! I think the thing about mahaut's appearace is that she good at hiding the changes and projecting a glamourous image. She never takes her gloves of in public, i don't think that Severus would see it much, i read something once about an artist, it think it was picasso, who painted the same model for years, but even when she got old he painted her as a girl coz that was how he still saw her, and i think severus thinks and sees things that way too. I like ginny too, it's why i let her make cameo appearances, i think she's in the shadow of her brothers a lot of the time, she has been getting more to do in each book, and rowling has dropped hints about her growing potential. I'm hoping she gets to be a prefect in book 6. thanks for reviewing!

I think I read this at the wrong part of the day, eight in the morning with my toast is not hugely conductive to seduction, although Mahaut liked it I suppose. I love your imagery of Mahaut's mind, espeically the butterflies in the blue sky, it just drips with elegance. A lovely sequal, I look forward to more xxx

Author's Response: thank you for the elegance!(and the review!), you need to eat somethig more refined than boring old burnt bread for breakfast, it'll put you in a better mood for seduction, try kedgeree and a nice bucks fizz-that's the way to start your day! though even that's far more seductive when eaten off someone gorgeuos! who need plates? you only have to wash them!
