Thank goodness Severus has got his arse in gear and is going after her! Now I just hope he finds her before something awful happens. I liked the way you described the 'different faces of Severus', if I can put it like that. I'm tired and I can't think how to phrase it any better! And thanks for explaining the spelling of 'Sokrates' - I admit I was wondering about that!

Author's Response: as for the sokrates thing, apologies agian for my incurable nerdyness. i liked the description of differeant faces of severus, thats quite good. l think l need to stop listening to the voices in my head though, every single one of them keeps tellling me that l'm not eating enough chocolate, they're ganging up on me! thanks for reviewing!

Wonderful chapter! I loved the way you handled the dream sequence. I just hope Snape will come to his senses and go and find her!

Author's Response: l'm so glad you liked the dream sequence! l've never written in that style before, isn't it nice when an experiment goes well? you'll just have to read the next chapter to find out if he comes to his senses! thanks for reviewing!

Severus is so typical male! *sigh* Poor Mahaut.

Author's Response: there is something to be said for the "typical" male though. yes, they are thick(even the smart ones) annoying and completely full of shit, but aren't they adorable? Euripedes wrote medea as a man in a woman's body, but l don't want to write severus snape as a woman in a man's body. sorry, l'm a bit obsessed with euripedes of late. thanks for reviewing!

! Seriously, I never needed an update more in my life... This is amazing!

Author's Response: Updating soon, but l'm afraid the next chapter is quite short by my standards. thanks for reiviewing!

WOW that was great, I really liked the dream sequence, it added loads to Mahaut's character and it was so...illustrative, very easy to read yet still full of detail. Plus I'm not too chuffed with Snape, in fact I'm quite huffed, he should bloody well grow up that's what I say! Trust a man to get the wrong end of the stick, I mean really, it must be a disease or something! I'm very curious about this ritual, what will happen, who knows? Well you do of course, but I don't and I wish I did! Maybe she could get Minerva to help her instead, you know keep it with the women. Anyway, nice to see it's not all sweetness and light in the Snape universe. P.S. Sorry about the abrupt phone call, you know what it's like with step parents and all. It's all, 'It's my computer I want to be on NOW!'. Apparently respect went out the window when he married my mother, anyway, keep me posted, can't wait for more.

Author's Response: gald you thought that my little experiment with stream of conciousness was sucessful, l'm a huge fan of margaret atwood and she uses it a lot, so it was a fun thing to write.Mahaut is pretty pissed off with severus too, but he's only a bloke, they're a bit thick with stuff like that, in general, maybe it is a disease. ps. my step dad is a sweety pie, even when i threw tomatoes at him (long story) he was nice about it, it's my dad's girlfrind i hate, but then so does everyone else so it's not just me. thanks for reviewing!

I sure hope she doesn't end ALL their fights by giving in to him. He should've at least listened to her. What an idiot Severus is, to behave this way after all she has been through and all they have been through together. What a downer, after he got to hear the baby's laughter - his anger isn't helping the baby at all. Ooh, just slap the man! Now he has to find her - and he better start looking!

Author's Response: Mahaut is smart, she knows how to handle Severus, she just lets him think that she gives in, that way he's happy and she gets what she wants by subterfuge. He's a bloke, after all. Funny you should say he's an idiot, coz kathy beta'd this chapter and sent it back saying she really hated him now! Worry not dear reader, he will redeem himself, eventually. thanks for reviewing!

More, more! This is fantastic! So it appears that the baby's ok? Looking forward to the next chapter to find out more :)

Author's Response: baby's fine, probably grumpy if it takes after mum and dad, but fine. next chapter soon. thanks for reviewing!

You know how much I hate pregnancies in Snape fan fic but your story is so good that it does not bother me at all. Oh and even though I did not fail Latin and some people have been calling me a "grumpy linguistics nerd" *g*, it's so long ago that I couldn't tell a gerund from a giraffe either, so no worries on that score.

Author's Response: To be honest l'm not keen on the whole pregnancy thing in snape fic either, but it was deeply necessary to the plot in this case, so l treid to make it interesting, rather than just "oh look mahaut is preggers, happy happy joy joy. " as for being a grumpy linguistics nerd, be proud of your nerdiness wearit as a badge of honour. nerds of the world unite! nerd power! i only got 26% at latin (zero to a level standard in 20 weeks at uni-ouch!) but l'm fairly certain that a giraffe is slightly taller than a gerund, gerunds tend to be quite stout and suffer from middle aged spread(or that could be yorkshiremen?). thanks for reviewing!

I very much like the Ollivander scene! Good work!

Author's Response: l was worried about making ollivander creepy enough, he scares me. Thanks for reviewing!

Poor Ginny...I wouldn't want to be in her shoes. But I very much like the girlie night with McGonagall. :-)

Author's Response: I've always thought Minerva would be fun when she let her hair down, i'd go partying with her, l'd love to see her at a male strip club, l bet she'd go mental! Ginny's tough though, she'll live. Thanks for reviewing!

Author's Response: p.s. l wouldn't want to be in ginny's shoes either, those school uniform shoes are just nasty. l wouldn't be seen dead!
