Loved the conversations. Love Cecile. Somehow it got cut off at the end during dinner, mid-word, though. Did you go over the word limit or something? Fix it, fix it, please?

Author's Response: Ah, durnit, I did go over the word limit, and that dinner scene goes on for quite a bit longer, so I cut it and will include it in the next update. Thanks for pointing that out!

Wow, I'm so addicted to this story! I really liked how Emily still managed to find out all this information, even though she wasn't even officially introduced in the deatheater cycle! Also her reactions to the Snape-discussion (both btween Lucius and Felina, and later on the terrace) were very interesting. I liked how she became almost instantly jealous when bella was mentioned, but then immediately took note of how Snape seemed to have been the victim, and that it must have happened quite sme time ago, when the conversation she was listening to gave only little hints. And the same goes for Emmit's argumentation, when he was doubting Lucius' motivation for claiming Snape to be a traitor. Also the ultra-subtile faery-magicks to sway the argumentation inside, even though she couldn't even really understood what exactly was said, that was really awesome! But I have to agree, to my fore-reviewers: please, i beg thee, give us some more Snape in the next chpter? Be it Snape!Emily in any way, or just Snape or both, I really think Emily needs it, to get the rid of the foul taste of this weekends company ^^. And I also hope, she will be able to avoid te danger of becoming Dracos Bella, because even if the motivations are quite different, the effect might be the same. Looking forward to your next chapter immensely, and much praise and greetings for you^^

Here's some extravagant praise for you, Guernica. Chapter 36 is officially my favorite chapter. I *savored* this update. I relaxed and read parts 2 and 3 in one sitting. It was so entertaining. And I have *so* many questions for you now. :)

Author's Response: Oooh, you mean this one has actually managed to knock Ch. 25 out of the way? Oh my, now I feel REALLY accomplished! If you have any questions, babe, you can always find me at DA or KA - I'll be checking in at my favorite message boards probably Monday, after the latest update goes up :-)

Another great chapter. It will be interesting to see what she does with the information.

Author's Response: Ah, most likely she'll take it all back to Professor Snape, which will lead to a great deal of sarcastic repartee - check back Monday for the full report ;-)

Hmm, I submitted a review 2 days ago, but somehow it got eaten. Whatever. In any case, lovely chapter, very interesting. My interest is sufficiently piqued, and now I want to hear the whole story of what happened to the late Evan Rosier between the prologue and now. But I have a request: now that the Malfeasant country weekend and birthday is over, can we please have some Severus/Emily time at Hogwarts for a couple of chapters? I don't mean snogging, necessarily, although that would be nice, but probably premature. I'll take strained conversations, snarky banter, meaningful glances, whatever. I've just had enough Lucius and his ilk for a while, and I need a breath of fresh air, as all that Death Eater corruption can be kind of stifling. I imagine Emily feels the same way...hey, maybe you intended to write it that way, very clever of you, so bravo and all that.

Author's Response: Rest assured, me dear, the action will shift from Malfeasant back to Hogwarts (and Snape) now that the birthday party is over. **small spoiler** Stay tuned for the first part of Ch. 37, coming on Monday, which includes a scene where Emily briefs Professor Snape as to what she heard that weekend...well, most of it, at least! And yes, you're right, by the time she got out of there, honest Snape-snark would seem like a breath of fresh air indeed...check back for "a new episode" on Monday!

Man! I almost feel sorry for Draco in this chapter. Well you've done it again. I loved Emily's gentle nudges during the meeting with Voldemort. Update soon! :)

Author's Response: You're absolutely right to feel sorry for poor Draco - imagine having a dad who's willing to exploit your teenage crush to his own advantage *sigh* And there'll be an update on Monday :-D

Oh, Emily the Spy is great stuff! I love the explanation Emmitt Parkinson's come up with--it seems perfectly fitting that Lucius would want to off someone who looked twice at a woman he considered his. And Emily subtly glamouring the speakers at the meeting...oh, that was grand. Sometimes a Faerie is just more useful than your average Wizard. And here's hoping for the salvation and unbrokenheartedness of Draco, too.

Author's Response: Yeah, I imagined that all those sly little Faery magicks she's so fond of are just useful as hell in some situations, when you're trying to sneak around unseen and influence people unawares. I did just love the way Shakespeare's Faeries in "A Midsummer Night's Dream" could play the foolish mortals like puppets on strings, and that was my inspiration for Emily's actions here.

I have just spent the last three evenings reading this from the beginning. I am I absolutly hooked. I love your style of writing, and the detail that you include is breathtaking. Looking forward to much more.

Author's Response: Thanks, sweetie, I'm glad you enjoyed it! I'm just lucky our beloved JKR gives us so much to work with - with rich settings like hers, it's easy to envision more stories going on in Hogwarts than just Harry's. Anyway, I'm ABSOLUTELY planning on finishing this fic, & I'm so pleased to have you along!
