Wonderful! And now we move on to OotP...I can't wait to see what you have in store for our heroes!

Wow, I am lost for words. I didn't know this was possible. Words are my life! Anyways, I loved this chapter. I found out so many things in this chapter. The world of faeries is still new to me, but I think I understand more and more of it. And, to find out that Severus wants to propose to Emily? That was wonderful. I can actually picture the proposing scene and the wedding scene. I hope the couple is bright and happy. And hopefully Lucious bloody Malfoy won't show up and ruin the party. Let's hope Emily and Severus will get him behind bars V. soon.

Author's Response: Don't worry Jools-me-love, your words are plenty expressive as they are! I'm glad you liked the interlude in Orkney - it appeared that one reviewer seemed to think that since I wrote about something *quel horreur!* HAPPY for three entire chapters, that I must be losing my touch. I counter by saying that nine months of lust/hate, pyrotechnical bitching, and some support during "in extremis" situations does not a relationship make (although it does make for an interesting start.) And yes, I definitely figured Severus for an old-fashioned fellow at heart, who upon realizing that he's fallen in love with someone, would find those feelings leading into thoughts of marriage as a very natural progression. But he hasn't mentioned anything regarding a real commitment to her as yet, any more than she's confessed the real extent of her feelings to him - so all I can say is stay tuned!

Ah, yes, the vacation had to come to end. Back into the fire for our intrepid heros. You've done a marvelous job giving them a couple of chapters of happiness. I look forward to the next installment.

Author's Response: Yes, as has been said, we all knew the two of them would end up back in the thick of things again - the time away was just far too idyllic to last. We'll soon see some more cliffhanger situations for our hero and heroine, but at least this time, they'll be facing them with a trusted ally. Anyway, stay tuned!

Wow. This was a really beautiful chapter. I am looking forward to the plot line developing, but I am so glad that you took the time to describe this time away for Severus and Emily. I can't wait for next week.

Author's Response: Yay, glad you liked it! (I really wanted Emily to meet the library ghost, as I thought those two would somehow have some "sympathetic vibrations" if you'll forgive me.) Yes, it'll soon be back into the action for both of them - and Lucius just MAY figure into it very soon.

Guernica...you are a better writer than this.

Author's Response: Note to reviewers: Non-specific blanket condemnations such as the one above don't really serve any purpose other than to momentarily furrow the author's eyebrows. However, if you have *actual constructive criticism* to leave regarding a particular chapter or plotline, feel free to do so.

*happy sigh* I love this, have I told you? Well, yes, I probably have. Numerous times in several different reviews. But I wanted to say it again. So there. :D ... ..... ...... Your writing, as always, glows. You pack so much information into such little space, and you leave the readers breathless. Awesome job!!

Author's Response: Thank you, me dear, so pleased to have added to your quotient of happy sighs for the day! Yes, Severus has caught on to the idea of letting Emily become more open with him at her own pace, and sharing his own life with her as a means of encouraging closeness, so suddenly the two of them are finding they have lots to talk about. I'm glad you're enjoying it!

i realized that this is the longest fanfic i have ever read, but it didn't seem like that. fast-paced and complete, it has carried me away like like leaves in the wind. thank god you write snape/oc, i don't know what the gendre would do without you.

Author's Response: Thank you, my yellow flower! I'm often surprised to discover how hellaciously long this fic has become - it doesn't feel that long while I'm writing it, oddly enough. I'm glad you're finding the pace moves along nicely, because with a work of this size you start worrying if it's getting leaden. I'm glad you're enjoying the OC - I had a whole lot of fun creating her :-)

Guerns, I'm so glad you recognized the wink in my previous remark. Sorry for the confusion it caused to your other rabid fans. I adore KEC, and everything you've written so far. As I've told you privately, I cannot wait for you to publish your original novel and I will be first in line to purchase it. *smoochies*

Author's Response: Wow, Ray, your certainty that I'll go pro one day is like to make a girl's heart swell with pride, truly, and I shall do my best to make that prophecy come true. Thank you so much!

'it occurred to him that he could face anything, even the stresses of a new school year and whatever lay ahead for the Order, if only he could always have this waiting for him of an evening when it was all over.' Oh, I loved this chapter! You are bloody brilliant! I loved the description of the Snape Hall and more stories from Emily's childhood. I sometimes even felt like I was in Arcadia with Emily. Thanks for your amazing chapter, and I'll be looking forward to later chapters. I just hope that bloody Malfoy and ugly disgusting Voldy isn't planning things to make life difficult than it already is for Em and Sev. If the two nasty things are found anywhere near where I live, I swear I'll burn them alive, bury them alive, make jigsaw puzzle out of them or do some other horrible thing to them. (I know.. I am being a tad too descriptive and a tad too vicious and weird..) What's happend to the rest of the world when Em and Sev have been shagging away in Snape Hall? Not that I mind them at it, I would like to know what is happening to the rest of the world. They aren't all dead, are they? Just keep Draco and Harry alive please. I think they would look rather cute as a couple. (Chuckles..) Do you think Draco will ever get over his crush on Em? I better hope he does because if he doesn't, Sev will want to chew him alive or something. Maybe Sev will be generous and let Draco kiss Em just once or something. I would love to picture two perfect people kissing each other, if not more. Sorry, am I ruining everything you planned here? I just came up with random images, that's all. Anyways, keep up the wonderful works and thanks again for your bloody wonderful chapter!

Author's Response: Yes, now that Emily feels as though Severus wants to know more about her because he finds her interesting, rather than because he's trying to ferret out all her secrets so as to know his enemy's weaknesses, she's actually enjoying talking to him - especially since he showed her around his splendid "fortress of solitude" and told her so much about his own life. And wow - you don't hate Malfoy ONE BIT, do ya? Don't worry, he is pretty loathsome, so I know what you mean. Regarding Draco, he's just 15, after all, and most of us have a big old crush on a teacher or otherwise unavailable person at that age. But yes, you're absolutely right, I don't doubt that Severus would indeed chew someone up if they made moony eyes at his beloved for too long!
