Can't wait for the next part, because this party has the hallmarks of everything going a bit haywire. Even though I'm meant to be STUDYING. Are you going to take this right upto the end of book 6? | I very much enjoy seeing your update, it made my day, then of course I started re-reading the whole work, several hours later I ended up going to work with a decided lack of sleep..but it was worth it. The argument about Lucius was interesting but as I read it I couldn't help think that it would be ironic if it was Severus that had to placate Bella when she comes into the picture..... my slytherin side coming out I suppose to think of that. | |||

| Yay! What a great Labor Day present. :-D...Ah, where to start, of course Lucius gets involved and tempers rise. The argument between the two of them (Emily and Severus, that is) is very well written and 100% believable from two very stubborn people. And what can I say, dear, sweet, vile Lucius is back. He is such a fine minor character and I'm glad he's back, causing trouble as ever. I love how Emily momentarily considered poisoning him. Now that you've set up the soire, I look forward to seeing how it plays out. This took a long time to get posted, but it was well worth the wait. Hopefully you will be able to post a bit more often. :) | |||

| You are just plain MEAN :( You leave us waiting for this for Three LONG weeks and this is where you decide to stop. Hmph. But reprimand aside, this was an amazing chapter (as always). i have really come to expect nothing less from you. Oh you talented little thing you. But gifted or not, am really cross with you for stopping where you did. I really want to know what happens with Em and Sev. I really cant bear not having them talk to each other because of that bastard Lucius. God! how i hate him. Though i totally understand Sev's insecurities. But you will have them talk to each other again wont you? or is this where you decide to turn Sev rogue?. Because after HBP was released, you said that you will make KEC compatible with it. I don't want you to turn Sev bad though. Please don't turn him bad. I am completely and totally in love with him. And you don't know what his turning would do to me. It will...It will .. It will make stop eating you lollipops. Yeah! that what it will do (that doesn't mean to cant continue giving them to me though :)). But really i would hate for Sev to turn bad. Please say wont turn him. Pleeeeeeeeeease.
PS = You're next installement is coming Monday right?. Because love, you really cant expect me to wait another week, two or maybe Three with where you left us. Author's Response: It's my little lollipop-devotee! Indeed, Sev and Emily's big argument over Lucius and the setup for the Mad Monster Party took up so much description that I got awfully close to my chapter limit of 11,000 words before the party really started. Yes, I know, I am evil, alas. *sigh* But this is one of the "set pieces" of KEC if you will, one of the big dramatic scenes I've been planning since I first outlined the fic. Believe me, the unexpected WILL happen, and Sev and Emily will talk to each other again. (And I would hate for Severus to turn out to be evil as well - re: HBP, I honestly think Snape had some kind of wartime "If it comes down to it, I'll do you and you do me" euthanasia pact. I tried to foreshadow that in the last scenes of Ch. 47.) Anyway, thanks for following this story so faithfully, darling! Have some more lollies! | |||

| Another great chapter! I love that you've written their relationship real enough to include jealousy and bickering. They behave like real people, with hurt feelings and insecurities. However, when will we read the "3 little words"? Don't they both deserve to hear it? Write more soon! I've had to start re-reading from the beginning to fill the time between posts! I'm not complaining, mind you. I just need regular KEC fixes. Thanks for the great read! ~Gen | |||

Cheers! Author's Response: Hey, there, sweets! Yes, I fell prey to the desire to revise previous material to make certain it was compatible with HBP. However, I've also been on a roll as far as composition lately, so there WILL be updating as of this coming Monday!
