Reviews for The Knight Errant Chronicles

I got so worried over the last chapter and now I have a lovely warm fuzzy feeling. Awwwww.

Author's Response: Thanks, my dear! Your reaction to the end of 48 sounds exactly like that of my hubbeh Mr. G - he got done with it and said, "NO! You are NOT going to break them up again! Don't you DARE!" and I had to assure him that he would like the way that situation resolved itself. It just goes to show that every so often, love DOES conquer all. (Well, if not all, then something. Love's always a good thing. Yeah.)

Ah wonderful. She seems to be extricating herself from a potentially dangerous situation. I love the idea of her taking on a alter-ego. I think it will definitely help her gain employment. Though, given Umbridge's hatred of Faeries, I'm not positive about that. I look forward to seeing how that unfolds....I just have to say, I love Severus' vow he was extracting from her....Oh, Dumbledore, love the way he was mulling over his choices and how he described the two of them to Severus. It's a perfect description.

Great again! I'm so glad the love potion-situation got resolved rather easily and reasonable as I was fearing for a lengthy angstfest. While I'm not against angst per se (of course not!) this seemed a moment were many authors would have pulled all stops with jealousy, imagined hurts, perceived or true forced affections, silences and halftruths, tragic misunderstandings and failed communication peppered with an overdose of emotions. And there's a point where such excess of angst easily gets hysterical and (unvoluntary) ridiculous: especially when 5 minutes of rational discussion between adults could solve most of it.... Thanks for not taking that route ^_^ Am of course deliriously happy for Severus and Emily: now safe from that particular strain on their young relationship. And I'm very much looking forward to the new schoolyear and Emily's new tasks and identity. Keep up the good work!

Author's Response: "this seemed a moment were many authors would have pulled all stops with jealousy, imagined hurts, perceived or true forced affections, silences and halftruths, tragic misunderstandings and failed communication peppered with an overdose of emotions." Yes, I think we all had about enough of that in Part First and Part Second. *grin, wink* But our hero and heroine have moved beyond much of their old angst-filled agonizing & misunderstanding, especially now that they've noticed that mature & effective communication seems to result in much more impassioned shagging than their previous approach. Thanks for the kind comments!

Great chapters, I am glad that their relationship seems resolved, and your writing was excellent as always.

Author's Response: Thanks, my falcon of greyish hue! Yes, our hero and heroine seem to be getting a great deal more experienced at hurdling obstacles to their togetherness these days than they did in earlier chapters, and that's for certain. Stay tuned for future developments, though...

It never ceases to amaze me how perfectly you have added your own interpretation to the canon Potterverse. You have given everyone a flesh-and-blood believable personality, right on down to the house elves, and who else would have thought of making the hags good drinking cronies for Emily? Severus Snape has never been so well portrayed as a person with foibles, failings, passions and emotions before. Your depiction of Voldemort is all the more unnerving for crediting him with a certain... personal charisma. If he were just a bogeyman he wouldn´t have half as many followers, or that´s just my impression. Anyway, congratulations on being voted the winner of the best Snape Fic - totally well-deserved.

Wondeful as always and I am really upset that I finally caught up with my reading here. I just want to keep going and going with Emily and Severus. Interesting twist now to their relationship too. Can't wait to see what happens.

Guernica, I think this could possibly be your finest hour. I loved the tension, the fights, the vampires, the hags... I could go on. I devour every installment! I can't wait to see how it all shakes out. Thanks for a great read.

Gah! They don't get a break, do they? I'm very impressed with the way you describe Voldemort and the seductiveness of his approach. Most people don't seem to realise that he wouldn't be half so successful if the only people he attracted were nutters, so there has to be some charisma (even of a totally repellent sort) in there somewhere. Nice to see that Emily can sometimes see it, feel flattered by the attention, find herself talking to him as she would to her king. Thumbs up! But I'm now getting the sinking feeling that everything is going to go horribly and PERMANENTLY wrong for our couple. Please don't break my heart, it's not good for the baby :-)

Love how you have incorporated the new HBP information into your story. Have me sitting on the edge of my seat with your cliffies.

Author's Response: Thanks, sweetie! I am fascinated by what JKR's doing with the "bad supernatural creatures" factions she's been introducing all throughout the series, so it's been fun to work it all in. Glad you're enjoying all the cliffhangers, as I do work hard to maintain the suspense!
