|Very good. A very realistic, balanced portrayal of how it very likely happened. I love how you incorporated the two sides to it. The bit at the end was especially telling. Wasn't the Headmaster supposed to look out for him Very nice touch. Severus thinks the world should revolve around him. The Headmaster should protect 'him', not 'all of them'. Well done!|

|Oh very well done. I can completely buy this version of the event and how it plays out into their adult selves.|
Author's Response: You have no idea how gratifying that is to hear! Thank you!

|I like your story. It seems very believable and in character for everyone. It is well written and I didn't notice any typing or grammatical errors. Thanks.|
Author's Response: Thank you! This is my first (and only) attempt at a 'canon' story so far - I am glad it worked for you!

|Brilliantly in-character. As well, I appreciate the way that you, as a SS writer, did not suddenly decide to make Dumbledore biased towards him. It makes the story much more plausible.
It's times like these when I wish J.K. Rowling would write in this form. |
Author's Response: Personally, I happen to like Dumbledore. While I don't think he is perfect, I have read some stories where he comes off almost as evil as Voldemort, and manipulates Snape mercilessly. I think that flies in the face of the deep level of trust that seems to exist between the two now. Anyways, thank you so very much!

|Good addition to Canon, however, I think Dumbledore isn't realizing his part in it either... or how this will lead to something worse. Nicely done!|
Author's Response: Thank you! I very much enjoyed your scheming Snape in "Great Plans" over on you-know-where.

|This is such a good version of this scene! The Invisibility Cloak as the means by which Severus managed to be around long enough to know exactly what he was facing, while at the same time not getting killed or bitten, is a stroke of genius. Everything that happens here is so very in-character for all those involved in it. Very well done! And welcome to Occlumency, btw. :~)|
Author's Response: Thanks for the welcome! :-)

|Very nice. You did a good job of supplying a reason for Dumbledore to chastise Snape and not expell Black. I can accept that it might have unfolded in just that way, although I wish things had turned out differently. Snape never gets a break.|
Author's Response: Thank you! I tried to keep this balanced and not skewed too much towards any one point of view (though it was hard not to jump to poor Severus' defense!)
