Reviews for LOVE'S LABOURS, PARADISE LOST

EllieK 2004.10.29 - 01:07AM 12: The Worst Fault You Have is to Be in Love Signed
That was touching. I, for one, cried my eyes out when I saw Madame Butterfly.

EllieK 2004.10.28 - 04:37PM 11: And I am Your Rosalind Signed
I nearly cried during this chapter at points. I have a feeling I will need some tissues soon.

EllieK 2004.10.27 - 05:48PM 9: No Longer Celia, but Aliena, part 2 Anonymous
What a bastard! Damn, I love him!

EllieK 2004.10.27 - 12:24AM 1: I SHOW MORE MIRTH THAN I AM MISTRESS OF Signed
Oh, hell. Why did I have to find this before going to bed?

this is the first time I've ever cried reading a ff - and no I don't have my period! That was so beautifully written, expressive and wonderful. thank you.

This was a very very very good story. I could not stop 'til I had finished it. I have read your Snape/helena fics, and can't wait for the sequel. (though I guess I'll have to, huh?)

I found that your Snape was very in character...I doubt he is romantic or altruistic or nice in any way, and that he is a cruel bully. Great job.

I've been staring at the keyboard for about five minutes now, trying to think of something clever and witty to say to you. Unfortunately, I'm still experiencing a rather uncomfortable bout of post traumatic stress. You understand. Your writing is brilliant; evocative, mesmerising, and fluid. I am not a fan of tragedy, because I hate being made to feel despair and grief - so forgive me when I say this was absolutely not one of my favourite tales. That aside, I adored the humble simplicity of your protagonist. Too many authors dizzy their characters up with impossible traits and larger than life abilities, but you made Celia/Rosalind very real for me. And of course, the (in)famous Snape, extremely well done. You did a wonderful job on keeping him in character, though it was frustrating at times. He was as I would have believed him to be. I am desperately hoping he survives the series. Of course, if he doesn't, I am sure it won't be of much consequence. As long as people like you continue to keep such characters alive...etceteras and so on. I am being far too dramatic. In ending of this lengthy review, I will say that if Severus (Shakespeare enthusiast as you painted him) had ever written back to Rosalind - regardless of whether or not he decided to send it - he may have included, or at least considered, the 71st sonnet. Now, write something with a happy ending, please. Kleenex has profited from me quite enough already. -Jacqueline.

Not sure how I missed this one, since when I first 'discovered' you I went and read what I thought was everything. But apparently I had missed one, but have now found it, and stayed up way too late reading it. I nearly wept at the end. It was a wonderful tale, alternately spicy and sweet. Bravo!
