| I'm wondering how Remus is taking on this. It is he jealous? Very interesting that they're using chess to get closer. It's giving Severus a chance to show he likes her for who she has inside and not what she is. Nicely done! ~Lisa Author's Response: Glad you liked it. Chess is just such a nice intellectual pursuit. I can definitely see Severus enjoying it, and I notice I'm not the only one. We're not done with Remus yet, he does make another appearance or two. | |||

| I'm so sorry I haven't reviewed until now! What a fool, I could have sworn that I had done! Nice chapter. Glad that Athena came clean with Snape, but I think Remus should just get over the relationship! Jesus, there are plenty more fish in the sea! Well done so far, phoenix! | I greatly enjoy this story. You have perfectly described Snape and his possible reactions to dealing with a woman in distress... Though I sort of hoped Athena might stay during the break... ;) I can't wait for the next chapter! Author's Response: Thanks, Grey_Eminence, I'm glad you liked Snape's characterization. That was both hard and fun to write. My Snape hasn't had much experience in the world of relationships and dealing with emotions so that seemed the way to go...As for the break, well, there is an Easter break. ;) Thanks to JKR's cracker scene, it made it harder for me to integrate her into the story and stay true to the events. | |||

| I'm glad she came clean with Snape. Remus should just move on, instead of trying to bait Snape. I like the way you worked in the vulture hat! ~Lisa Author's Response: I think she's learned her lesson on secrets, maybe ;-)...As for the vulture hat, I can't take all the credit. I was initially not going to have anything about the Christmas holidays, but I just had to have the vulture hat scene in there. Plus, it gives me a chance to for Snape to realize he might actually like her. :) | |||

| Aw, feeling sorry for Remus at the moment! The poor guy - just gets settled into a relationship, and then the past catches up with him. Which reminds me, the other lovely male in this story has an equally unsavoury past! I loved the way that Athena got Snape talking - very nice! The ending was rather dramatic - don't leave me waiting too long! Author's Response: Thanks Obadiah. I felt I needed a nice dramatic cliffhanger there. The resolution will be coming soon....About the unsavory past, everyone seems to have these nasty little skeletons, don't they?...I'm glad so many people have liked the snowball. It really was fun because it's so anti-Snape. | |||

Perhaps Athena's a tad more Dryad that she thinks. ;)....I'm glad you liked the snowball incident. It seemed a nice fun choice. It was actually after writing that scene and putting it with the other scenes that I had the flash of brilliance to make her part Dryad. Seems my subconscious knew before I did. :)...The next chapter will be coming soon. | |||

| Interesting...(liked it when Snape plays innocent lol) - I feel sorry for Lupin - but since Im on the Snape team I really hope Snape will try and be a bit more...just to show her that he can be a ...nice man lol Author's Response: Thanks for the review, Sniv. I have fun playing with Snape's many questionable intentions. He's fun because he's not the type that comes right out and says something. Now let's see if he realizes his motives are more than trying to make Lupin miserable, which I started to feel really guilty about, BTW... Snape and nice, not sure those are two words normally put together....All I can say, wait and see. | |||

| Aw, poor Lupin! I feel so sorry for him. However, that does mean that a more Snape-related story line can develop... Well done, and I'm looking forward to more! Author's Response: Obidiah, thank you for your reviews. I'm glad to see you are enjoying the story. Jealous!Snape is a ton of fun to write for and I don't think he's completely gone. I hadn't initially planned on the Lupin detour, but it worked out so much better, and yes, Snape does get his chance to prove he is the better choice :D I've actually been motivated to outline a Lupin story because I've grown quite attached to him and this will absolve me of guilt over treating him badly. :) | |||

| Hoorah, jealous Snape makes an appearance! Why is it that it's so easy to imagine Snape being jealous, I wonder?? Let the games begin! I have to say though, Lupin's reaction to the mention of the moon was touching. Bless him; I don't want him to get too upset! Well done so far! | |||
