Reviews for Dangerous Liaisons

tomfelton 2005.06.20 - 09:53PM 12: Chapter 11 : The Dance Signed
you are a horrible horrible horrible person...and your writing sucks too!..... :Takes a deep breath::........sorry teen hormones...your writing's sooo awesome but you're still a horrible person for not updating...please...please... please..please update..and hopefully before i go crazy with thinking of what's happening next! thanks so much for writing such an awesome story please continue.

Author's Response: Whew! Had me going there for a minute. :)....As for the updates, I will admit that I've been horrible. I had a bit of a summer vacation there. I'm going through the last couple of chapters now, vetting out all the little typos...I'm very glad to hear that you have enjoyed the story so far.

Owlbait 2005.06.20 - 09:05AM 5: Chapter 4: Unraveling Snape Signed
Poor Lupin, he's not usually like that, I guess he really can't help himself though. Are Dryads sort of like Veelas that way?

Author's Response: I really shouldn't abuse characters, but sometimes it's very hard to resist. If you keep reading there is an explanation of Dryads and what's going on. :)

Owlbait 2005.06.20 - 06:37AM 2: Chapter 1: Meetings Signed
hee hee, very nice. Lupin is a dear, but I suppose he's going to be SOL when Snape gets out of his snit and into the game :*)

Author's Response: Yup, poor Lupin will be in for a bit of trouble. Thanks for taking the time to review, Owlbait.

Obadiah Slope 2005.06.17 - 03:28PM 11: Chapter 10 : The Quidditch Match Signed
Hey, caught up again! :-D Glad you had a good vacation. I liked the Quidditch scene - very imaginative! I do like the way you've weaved the story around the plot from the book. It must take a while to fit it all in!! As ever, looking forward to an update!

Author's Response: Thanks, Obadiah. It has taken some work to get stuff to line up with the time frames in the story. More troublesome by the fact that JKR did not use a calendar when she wrote the story. :D Thanks to the good folks at the HP Lexicon for helping me more quickly sort out dates of events.

Glad you enjoyed the Quidditch scene. My evil muses made me do that one. They really couldn't resist. More should be coming very soon.

Sniv 2005.06.04 - 02:04PM 11: Chapter 10 : The Quidditch Match Signed
were looking at him strangely, since he had never displayed that sort of enthusiasm at a Quidditch match. Omg then think what he would have looked like if he knew the real reasong for Snape's enthusiasm! Lol! Lovely update - I hope you had a nice vacation! =)

Author's Response: Thanks, Sniv. As I said before, I love this scene. Imagine the rumors if everyone did know what he was so excited about, or if Malfoy hadn't caught the Snitch? LOL...Vacation was great. Of course, any time away from work with the one you love is great. Sadly, it's back to work for both of us now. :( Ah, well, there will be more time later.

Sniv 2005.06.04 - 01:52PM 10: Chapter 9 : Learning to Apologize Signed
Soo she did apologize although Snape was...well Snape about it I think...But we still love him! Learning to Apologize Ah yes I should too! Sorry for not keeping up but RL and exams are keeping me busy! I hope everything is ok!

Author's Response: Sniv, don't worry about being behind. We all have our attacks of RL and exams, well, they're exams. I'm glad you think I captured Snape in that whole bit. Naturally he would make it all sooo difficult, but that's what makes him so fun. He does all those things we want to do, but common decency and good manners prevent us from doing. :)

Glad to see you back and that you got to spend a few weeks alone with you husband after he returned from sea duty. Poor Snape, he gets molested and has to hide it from the whole school. At least he got to enjoy it.

Author's Response: I'm glad you liked that part. I really couldn't resist on that idea once it got into my head. I have no clue how it got there, but it was such a ludicrous idea I had to run with it....It's definitely nice to have him home again, or mostly home. :) The joys of the Navy, but I'm used to it. 9 years and counting. :)

Obadiah Slope 2005.05.29 - 08:22AM 10: Chapter 9 : Learning to Apologize Signed
I apologise for not reviewing sooner...I have been a little preoccupied. Even though this is rather belated, this chapter was a wonderful addition to the already immensely enjoyable story. I've enjoyed reading about the couple's (mis)adventures, and am so pleased that they are finally together! How long is it going to last, I wonder?? Look forward to an update!

Author's Response: Obadiah, no problems there. I know how taxing exams can be and am greatly appreciative to be done with them. Besides, it's been something like 3-4 weeks since I posted. I think you hit it right with the misadventures part. Those cultural differences can be real stickers, can't they? That and they are a little hard headed....I figured I couldn't keep them apart forever. :)

Hurrah, she did apologize first after all and found out why he reacted that way. I'm glad they fially got together and will be waiting for more'Enjoy your husband's homecoming. My husband was a career Army man and had 2 tours of duty in Viet Nam, 12 months each. I remember the homecomings very well.

Author's Response: Glad you liked the apology. It was a hard thing for both of them. He seems to rebel against the entire concept, thus making it harder for her to actually apologize since he kept scaring her off. :) Now that's all out of the way, there may be some happier times ahead. :)

Thanks for the sentiments on the homecoming. We were actually doing this in reverse last year as we are both Navy, though I'm done going to sea for the near term. We're hoping it'll be a while before we have to do this again. It's not much fun. Thankfully, Navy separations generally aren't longer than 6 months.

Trickie Woo 2005.05.10 - 05:35PM 9: Chapter 8: Misunderstandings Signed
I just reread this so I will be able to pick up the thread in the next story. I am enjoying the story but I have a bone to pick with you, why doesn't anyone tell her that she should apoligize to Snape? He deserves an apology from her as much as she deserves one from hip, after all , if she hadn't provoked him by jumping out at him from her hiding place none of this would have happened. I'm a feminist like Obadiah, with views that are female supremicist. I'm probably a sexist, but I also believe that common courtesy is the most important way to deal with any issue, and common courtesy would be for her to offer Snape an apology for provoking him, then he should apologize for his reaction. If the world ran on common courtesy rather than the male imperative of saving face, war would not be necessary, or at least so frequent as it is today. Look at the Mid East as a case in point.

Author's Response: Ah, common courtesy, it's really a shame it isn't all that common. Hard headed people sometimes have a hard time realizing that they've done something wrong, don't they?...As you read Chapter 9, I think you saw the outcome. :)
