Reviews for Highly Improbable

What a great chapter. Snape's nightmare so clearly belonged to him. And the moth! He was definitely angry way past throwing jars tonight.

Author's Response: Thanks for reviewing, Owlbait! I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Ouch! I would say "poor Snape" if I wasn't so irritated at him stomping around breaking things. But no one ever *does* believe him, do they?

Rodgers & Hart were another great team, in some ways like like them even better that Rodgers & Hammerstein. The capter title Full Moonand empty Arms, was that the popular title for The Warsaw Concerto from 'Dangerous Moonlight' when they added lyrics and released it as a popular song? Poor Snape, seen from his view point with what happened to him that night night he was right and no one wanted to listen to him. I miss all the humor and laughs, I hope your story won't get too dark. You know, you could end it when they get back together and start a sequel to contain the darkness. There is too much darkness in the world, we need sunshine, laughter, and love.

Author's Response: Yes, I'm quite partial to Rodgers & Hart, as well, and you are correct about the chapter title. This story will not get too dark. There will be no Death Eater scenes that require reader warnings. The Shrieking Shack scene was a very low point for Snape in the story, which is why I would not allow myself to play it for laughs. If given the choice between writing a joke and keeping Snape IC, I will always go with the latter. I think you may safely assume that sunshine, laughter, and love will prevail, but you must remember that it is always darkest just before dawn. :)

SQUEE! Forgive me, but I have finally figured it out, I think, and I could just smack myself! [For days I have been doodling in the dust on my dashboard, covering stray scraps of paper and Post-Its at work, and babbling nonsense words aloud in the bath. All to no avail. You would laugh derisively at some of the things I came up with. At last, I went back and read the chapter again--and it only took the back of one grocery list (ok, and part of the front) before the words leapt out at me.] This has been so much fun--thank you--you have saved my brain cells from atrophy.

Author's Response: Excellent! Oh how I wish we were neighbors! The fun we could have at dinner parties! Word games, poetry readings, rich desserts - and some poor sap to do the dishes. Yes, the chapter definitely provides a clue to solving the anagram. Your official pineapple pin is in the mail. ;)

That was one heck of a dream! I love how you made everthing blend so seamlessly with canon. The map in the dream insulting Snape, the obstacle course for DADA, Snape after the Shack incedent, and so much more. I truly enjoyed reading it, as always.

I hve always been terrible with anagrams. I am still trying to figure a few of them out, but I doubt that I will. Once all is revealed I will probably bang my head on the desk and shout out "duh!" I love the way you play with language. I do believe it is time for an update! Maybe I will review in a timely manner this time.

Author's Response: Thanks, Liz. Any old time you get around to reviewing is fine with me. I appreciate all your support and your avatar expertise! Hope you're having a wonderful birthday today!

*raises hand* Please almighty anagram God give me a hint! *bangs her head against a wall*

Author's Response: Hint: It has nothing to do with Neeps and Tatties, either. :-D

This was an especially powerful chapter, Vocalion. I LOVE and applaud the way you have woven Clancy into the canon events surrounding Sirius's capture (and what I consider to be one of Snape's worst moments) and given us a different perspective. The scene with Remus and the beasties was a fantastic touch (as was Flitwick's makeshift booster seat) and, as ever, I bow to your incredible skill with words and puzzles! My brain wags its tail in thanks for the anagram you have given it to chew on...I have already covered the surfaces of two Post-It notes...

Author's Response: At last, readers are noticing the anagrams! That makes me so happy! Here's a clue: It has nothing whatsoever to do with pineapples! :-D Thanks, Grainne.

...and actually I did mention your anagrams in my first post ;)

Author's Response: You did? Bless your heart, I must have missed that!
