Great representation of Snape. I enjoyed it. It was also nice to see some of the lesser characters put to use. I especially liked the way he challenged them to think.
Author's Response: Thanks for reviewing, Lady Apythia! As you can guess, I'm (still) a believer... :-) -S. |

Very, very nice. I never would have found this except for Larilee's weekend recs. You do a very nice job of portraying events going on in other parts of the castle, since we only get Harry's POV. Thanks for the great story.
Author's Response: You're welcome, vanityfair :-)! Harry's limited POV must be my main incentive to write... Thanks for reviewing, and give my regards to Larilee! -S. |

This is fascinating. Really really good. And although it stands by itself, I would love to see the further adventures of these kids. It's nice to see different characters that you can care about. --OD
Author's Response: I'm certainly not dismissing the idea, and it is very possible that HBP brings new inspiration... (Actually I'm rather counting on it :-P.) Thanks for reviewing, Odd Doll! -S. |

Excellent story!
Snape captured well, and the plight of the slytherins, also.

Author's Response: It was a real pain to write, actually, which makes me very, very happy that you and others seem to like the result :). Thanks! -S. |

Wow, I really appreciate this story, especially the message that Snape gives them. Here's to hoping it turns out that way for at least some of the Slytherins!
Author's Response: Indeed. I for one don't know what they've been waiting for... *grins* Thanks for reviewing, Aestel! -S. |

I got shivers from reading this--is there more? Masterfully done, plot and technique.
Author's Response: Hi Karen, thanks for reviewing! There may be more - but it'll have to wait till I've read HBP or receive a sudden flash of inspiration :). -S. |

Very good story, I always imagined that Snape would be more proactive where his slytherines were concerned but it is rarley written about. I realize this is a one shot, but I would love to read about how Severus would teach DADA on the sly to his own.
Author's Response: I am still toying with that idea - my stories all belong together, so I keep filling gaps - but it's possible it will have to wait until I've read HBP... Thanks for reviewing! - S. |
