No, Rosie certainly isn't a 'Stepford wife', she's more normal and more like I am in the housecleaning area. Both Rosie and Snape have a talent for putting their foot in their mouth. If and when they marry, will their marriage be as full of fights and bickering as their courtship is?
Author's Response: Rosie, you and I seem to have very similar ideas about housekeeping then! As for their marriage, I think it is safe to say that they still will bicker a lot. Hopefully there won't be so many full-blown shouting matches, as many of those more difficult issues have now been raised. I'm sure there'll be plenty more time for both of them to put their foots in their mouths, though! |

Oh, my, it's a shame that Severus doesn't have any male friends he could have asked for advice for that one. He really bolloxed it up, didn't he? Hopefully someone's pig-headedness will give way to clear that misunderstanding....I'm interested in finding out what Maximus is up to, he doesn't seem like the type to let it go.
Author's Response: Severus has a habit of buggering things up. Maximus has got a bit more to do in this story, it is true. He is indeed a man who doesn't really forget things - much like his son, I suppose. Cheers, phoenix! |

Please add more soon :)
Author's Response: Cheers, Sniv, glad to know you're enjoying it! I'll try and update soon, but flu, work, general fatigue and a badly-behaved computer are kind of hindering progress at the moment! Half the chapter's done, though! Thanks, Sniv! |

Oh dear! Severus didn't exactly handle that one very well, did he, lol!! I hope he'll find a way to repair the damage! I'm wondering how he'll cope with the new phone (that could be amusing!) and with meeting Rosie's parents (assuming he does meet them now that he's made such a monumental cock-up of proposing to her! And I think you need to find a way to get rid of Maximus quickly! :)
Author's Response: Bless Severus for trying, but I think Rosie was looking for something a bit more...sincere! Lol. The phone, the parents, the Max - it's all so confusing...and tricky to resolve. Does Max deserve a second chance? Does he not? Should he just be run over by a bus?... I'm sure Severus will decide in his own good time! Thanks for reviewing, araminta! |

Oh, goody...I was engaged in a bit of over-analysis of my own and was worried that Nick the phone man was Nick Raven in disguise (with some sort of youth glamour) and that was installing something EVIL along with the telephone point! Remus as Emmet...he could howl along with the piano! Giggles. Only problem is that Hyacinth is so awful, whereas Rosie is not! Thanks for so many good laughs, and have a lovely evening!
Author's Response: Well, now I know why authors don't name two characters the same thing!! Lol. I'm really impressed that you managed to weave that plot around "Nick-the-man-from-BT"! I wonder what evil Nick Raven would install in a telephone point...hypothetically, of course... (;-D) And yes, there is the problem that Rosie is not as awful as Hyacinth; there's also the problem that I don't see Rosie wearing large luminous hats and bright, flowery dresses. They're both named after flowers, though, aren't they? Ooh, I feel a connection coming on... Didn't Hyacinth have a sister called Rose?? Lol. It's a pleasure to be the cause of such merriment, and I hope you have an enjoyable evening as well! |

I like the Nick wordplay!...speaking of which, should I read anything terrible into the fact that the telephone man was also called Nick? I am tickled by the whole "hypothetical, theoretical" marriage proposal. I do not see Snape getting down on bended knee and flawlessly proposing, so this was perfect! And I love that Rosie, while adoring him, is unsure about marriage. The Polyjuice bit was hilarious, as was the thought of Rosie with her new slimline telephone...I can see her channeling Hyacinth Bucket and answering, "Hello, the lady of the house speaking! Oh, it's you, Severus" [Then, to Alina] "It's my boyfriend, Severus! You know, the one with the black eyes, the hooked nose, and room for improvement!" Oh dear...I digress, but your story does makes me giddy (but then I think of Maximus lurking and I worry). As always, a pleasure to read!
Author's Response: Oh my goodness, how could I not notice that two people in the same chapter were called "Nick"?? Ah well, I've always complained that authors never give two characters the same name, even though you find twenty Jacks, nine Katies and seven Obadiahs everywhere that you go. More and more realism just seeps in, doesn't it?? ;-D
I'm glad that you liked the proposal - and you had me rolling on the floor with your comment of "Rosie channeling Hyacinth Bucket"... I am going to have to try and put that in the story somewhere! I could change the whole story to fit... Alina could be Elizabeth, Remus could be Emmet... It was meant to be! Thanks, Grainne (for cheering me up after a LONG day...) |

Ok R rated...I didnt get that one, but no matter what - you updated!!! Great - and blah those two are just...well those two! lol...Im kinda split between the two of them...so cant wait to see how this will turn out. Im not so glad that Max is still "haunting" them though...
Author's Response: Thank you, Sniv! Both of them have been foolish; they seem to have an uncanny knack for upsetting the balance of their relationship! |

until the age of eleven she had watched TV and spoken to family, friends and double glazing salesmen by phone. Oh, I just had to laugh at that line! Of all the things to miss about a phone! I think Max has just gotten smarter... or more Slytherin in his approach. I'm not sure why this earned a "R" rating, but congratulations on the "R"! I get excited to write something that's "PG". ~Lisa
Author's Response: :-D Lol, I had to put the "double glazing salesmen" bit in, it was too hard to resist. Yes, Max is finding his Slytherin roots, but...well, we'll see how long those last... I'm not sure why it's R rated, either. It severely confused me. There's nothing in that chapter that hasn't been touched on before - and, come on, we've had murder and abuse and shouting matches... Ah well... Thanks for the review! |
