I've probably seen every movie Cary Grant ever made. His movies never seem dated, even the one with Mae West.
I have to retract that first statement. I just checked IMDb and I've only seen every movie he made since 1937. He made 73 movies and I've seen more than 60 of them, I missed some of the movies he made in the early '30s.
Be sure to see Topper and Arsenic and Old Lace, they will both have you rotfwl. I never saw a leading lady who didn't have a chemistry with him. What woman wouldn't want to be with Cary Grant anyway?
Author's Response: Okay, I just rented Arsenic and Old Lace from my library - I'd been meaning to see it anyway.
And my, that's a lot of Cary Grant movies you've seen! I am duly impressed.
I've been playing around with another screwball comedy idea inspired by old movies, but as interesting as the idea is, I really don't think I want to write it! How sad is that? Might post it as a challenge somewhere. |

Great. Your style has changed ever so slightly, less attributes, it's good, it works well. A nice fast-moving chapter which kept to the point and had some beautiful one liners. Keep it up, sweets. Norma xxx
Author's Response: Glad you like! My earliest drafts are generally dialogue-only; I go in and add tags later. I think it just means that I went through and revised this one less! Norma? |

I'm glad to see you back again, and I hope things are going better for you now. I missed Snape in this chapter, he wasn't around much. Fortunately when he was present they still had that Cary Grant-Irene Dunne/Ingrid Bergman thing going so it kept me interested. I'm thinking Grant and Bergman in Indiscreet which was funny, and not in Notorious which was serious. I hope keep going well for you and you're able to update sooner next time.
Author's Response: Thank you. Your knowledge of Cary Grant comedies continues to amaze me, and I'm taking notes on ones I should rent! If I'm any judge, it looks like my next update will be surprisingly soon. |

Okay, so now I'm doing a completely obnoxious version of the cabbagepatch in my chair... and it's all your fault!! (But in a good way)
Truly you write Tonks exactly as I picture her. I absolutley adore teh relationship you've created between the two characters of Snape and Tonks. I can't wait for those next chapters!!
BTW, I hope that all is well on the homefront, now, and I'm sending you all sorts of good wishes and positive feelings. And now that you think I'm a total nut job, I'll leave you to your writing. *grin* GG
Author's Response: *laughs* Yay! I'm very glad you like the story so much. Thanks for the good thoughts. |

Oh dear -- I hope the bad stuff that happened wasn't too bad and is entirely over. I enjoyed the chapter, in any case.
Author's Response: Thanks, I appreciate it. |

Delighted to see an update! I love this story :) I am sorry RL wasn't treating you well, but I can be patient... This chapter was very snappy - nobody missed a beat. Great job!
Author's Response: Thank you, really. I'm glad this chapter's up to par. |

Wheeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!
First off let me say I am thrilled to say one of absolute favorites hasn't been dropped. I love your description of Avery "he looked like the kind of rat that rats wouldn’t associate with" hee hee hee! Great!
Author's Response: *laughs* Yay! I'm glad to hear this story's an "absolute favorite" of yours and that you liked this chapter! |

Okay, I know the site has gone all wonky, with the back and the forth of the archives, but I'm really getting anxious for another update! I saw your updated bio on the other archive, but unfortunately it doesn't seem to have made the switch. It's sad really, everytime I get a craving for an update, I come back and reread the story... all it does is make me want an update that much more. *drat and damn*
Well, here's to hoping the bar exam went well and that there will be loads of lovely chapters waiting for us in the near future!! *bright, optimistic, slightly manic smile* Right?
Hope all is well! GG
Author's Response: *laughs* All wasn't really well, but it's getting better (the Bar Exam did go well though, thanks). I did post another update yesterday, though, and hopefully that helps your craving a little bit. Would it help even more to know I have large chunks of the next two chapters written? |

“Dumbledore has seen fit to offer you a much worse alternative.”
I love it!
