Reviews for Yes, but...

I see from the opening you are a "Pide & Prejudice" fan, I should have guessed since you are a Bridget Jones fan. I am surprised that I've never seen anyone, author or reviewer, say that Snape is full of fuckwittage. He really has more of it than any male character, wait a minute, Lucius Malfoy has even more, and Voldemort. Once Percy came to the door to propose this chapter became laugh out loud funny, I'm still laughing and it will be a while before I settle down.

Author's Response: Now I AM a P&P fan. If you had any doubt about my 'Bridget Jones' answer before, I had to look up the word "fuckwittage." Yes, I'd say that Snape finds that particular pastime extremely enjoyable.

Gee, what a wonderful first date. I remember Boots the Chemist from when I lived in Yorkshire in the 60's, they were literally everywhere. Now they are bigger stores but they aren't quite as ubiquitous as they used to be. I can picture Albus on the platform waiting for the train and raising his robe to give directions from the map on his knee to some tourist. From what I've seen in some tube stations it wouldn't look all that odd.

Author's Response: I never had trouble finding a Boots when I lived there four years ago--I'd say they're still pretty ubiquitous. As for Dumbledore, I have a very vivid picture of a pair of bermuda shorts under his robe.

I take it that you are another 'Bridget Jones' fan judging by your reference to a Tarts & Vicars party. I see Tonks, of course, as Bridget, Snape as Bridget's dad, and Percy as Bernard, in full Papal regalia. I would bet that Snape is the only human being who can pointedly ignore some as well as a cat can.

Author's Response: Honestly, I hadn't put that much thought into it, but I'm glad that it caught your imagination. As for 'Bridget Jones,' I have to confess that I've only seen the movie.

I absolutely love this chapter. The first 3 were entertaining, but this one is hilarious in it's cynicism. Verity Brown recommended this to me and I'm glad she did. Update soon.

Author's Response: Well, I guess I'll have to thank Verity again. Glad you're enjoying it!

Aha! Finally a couple thinks of taking revenge on the morons who invented that preposterous marriage law! I look forward to it... And I'm beginning to believe Snape and Tonks aren't as unlikely a pair as I thought them to be at first... I'm looking forward to further developments! (PS: love your Moody.)

Author's Response: ::Cryptic smile.::

Oh! And I *loved* the bedroom hair image! LOL what a sight, indeed, plus the hangover-morning breath, mmmmh! :o) and the Severus-in-the-bathroom scene made me laugh even louder! I also like the way you develop Tonks' attitude; I think it is very canon and I like the dimension you add to her... very good! :o)

Hello there! I am glad to see you have posted another chapter! I laughed out loud many times and I like how this story is developing! :o) I feared this story might be a tiny bit childish or cheesy given the topic, but it is absolutely not the case; your plot is interesting and I will certainly look often for updates! Good job! :o)

Author's Response: Uh-oh, does my teaser do me that much of a disservice? I've always been horrible at them. Anyway, I'm glad you're enjoying the story!

This continues to be one of the funniest fics out there. Tonks' capacity for deception seems to approach Snape's. Looks like they might be bonding over a plot to poison Ministry bureaucrats at their wedding.

Author's Response: Poisoning might be a bit extreme. They're silly bureaucrats, not mini Voldemorts, after all!

Good chapter! I loved Percy's appearance. And the thought of the Weasley twins catering the... happy event is priceless!

Author's Response: Thanks, Lisa!

Oh dear, this sounds like a blind (tipsy) date I had my Junior year in college. It's great! I did look up bugbear and that made it all the more humorous. I agree; Snape is about as cuddly as a basilisk, but I love him just the same.

Author's Response: Ah, someone willing to delve beneath the surface... excellent. You will find more buried (or possibly sunken) treasures in past and future chapters.
I'm curious about this date, now. Hopefully you came out of it unscathed?
