Sorry, but this has now really lost me. Deveroux is so awful, how could anyone like her? She still can't manage anything other than insults, and has no consequences for it. Somehow, I suspect that if Snape were stuck and needed help, she'd turn him down flat without AD there to shove her into it. Too bad she can't see the opposite is not true.
Author's Response: Hmmm ... as I said, perhaps we went a bit overboard with Aurellia's cantakerousness. But that's not true about Aurellia not helping Snape when he needs it. Later on in this part, she will pull Snape's bacon out of the fire -- without AD's intercession. They will be working together cooperatively -- more or less. And Snape will get his revenge on the whole Grudge Match thing... oh, drat, I've probably said waaaay to much there. |

Wow! Again Pigwidgeon, I am blown away. you have a beautiful Snape trying hard not to be vulnerable (ie. Human) and a wonderful elf. Kudos! ~Lisa
Author's Response: Thanks! That scene took a while to get right. I think my best friend and I went through ... well, many drafts before we hit on the right tone. |
