| Incidentally, I don't know if this is delkiberate on your part or not, but one possible interpretation of the name Severus must surely be "cutter." |

| This is horribly believable. It could be Snape right at the end, after he has (from the sound of it) deserted the Order - or it could be him in his 20s when he learns he caused Lily and James' deaths. Either way, he seems the sort of tight, unhappy person who very easily could be a cutter. |

| To me, this is exactly what must have been going through Snape head before he when to Dumbledore after becoming a Death Eater. Dumbledore gave him the one thing he need to survive. A purpose. |
