hot!!

Author's Response: Excellent! Glad you liked it!

Hey, wicked story! I didn't think I'd like the pairing, but it was really sweet. I'd love to see the look on Parvati's face when her twin sets her straight on Sev's manhood issues! Anyhoo, back to KEC damn you or I'll have you chained up naked in the dungeons and hand the Potions Master a whip. Oh wait, not gonna help is it? =0)

Author's Response: Yay, glad you enjoyed it! I'm usually partial to OCs, truly, but somehow this plot bunny about Padma Patil just got started and wouldn't stop, especially when I started researching Hindu religion and did a bit of lurking on soc.indian.culture. As for nekkid-time with Sev in the dungeons...uh...still looking for a downside...not finding one...uh...

And another thing I really, really like about this story is that the two of them did NOT meet because of Dumbledore or other helpful interfering friends. Hey, can you do a sequel? Maybe after the wedding or something, and he has had to face the gauntlet known as Padma's family? I've gotten that attached to your story and pairing.

Author's Response: Oh I agree completely, I HATE that "Dumbledore forces Snape to go on a blind date" scenario. (The blind date who never showed up was my way of going neener-neener-neener at that little contrivance.) I hadn't thought about doing a sequel, but if any more plot bunnies hit me, it's a definite possibility :-)

Very nicely done! I love the idea they fell in love without knowing who each other was. And one of the sexiest things I've read in a while.

Author's Response: Thanks, sweetie! Yes, it's long been my opinion that lots of us are entirely different people depending on where we are and who we're with, especially when we've got stressful jobs or our buttons are being pushed by people we don't like. Part of why I enjoy writing Snapefic so much is the chance to "see" Severus in different situations other than the clearly dysfunctional one with the Gryffindor Trio at work!

Wow! This was a very interesting and touching story...reminds me utterly of the story of Cupid and Psyche...only with a much more happier and less muddled and angstfilled ending. :) I throughly enjoyed it, and will have to check out your other works soon. ~Aeryn

Author's Response: You've hit exactly on my inspiration for the ending with the story of Cupid and Psyche - the Hindu god Rama is very like the Roman Cupid. (Only here Snape didn't have a jealous, bitchy, interfering MIL, so Padma didn't have to go through a bunch of labors and go to the Underworld and all that fol-de-rol.) Please do check out my other stuff if you've got a mind to - though if you're going to tackle the gnormous behemoth that is Knight Errant, the general consensus seems to advise that you should have a bottle of water and a snack within easy reach. KEC is my baby, but it's...Really. Fucking. Long. ;-)

Oh that was just so lovely. I got to the end of the first part thinking "Damn, why did I read this when my man is away working?" but now I've got all soppy and tearful. The last line especially was wonderful. And I love Dorothy Parker - she's one of my favourite poets. Bravo! Now get back to Knight Errant. *cracks the whip*

Author's Response: You know, it's funny - I seemed to do most of the writing on that story when my husband had to work late, truly...I'm really glad to have amused a fellow work widow! And yes, Dorothy Parker is da bomb, I absolutely adore her. (Everyone go read her stuff, now, she's awesome.) And I heed the whip-cracking - there will be a HUGE new segment of KEC up this coming Monday: the continuation AND conclusion of Ch. 38.
