Reviews for Cauldrons Aflame

Obadiah Slope 2005.01.29 - 11:36AM 3: Most Curious Behaviors Signed
Ah, the Sirius/Snape saga unfolds. It's really nice to read this story again! I can't believe it's been two years! When I first read this, I wouldn't have believed what you had in store for all the characters. I never really liked Sirius, and I do like the way you paint him -- I can hardly feel overly-sympathetic to his plight. Can't wait to read more!

Author's Response: I plan to revise chapters 1-30. I think the rest are sound as far as grammar and content. Of course, I will post them all here. I just needed a fresh start. I was never a huge Sirius fan - so I had no guilt with the events that unfolded (in my story). I do miss him in the books now, though. I don't think I appreciated his character until he snuffed it. He might still return - in some form or another. Thanks for reading!

Wonderful chapter, but Im quite concerned about Black...If he now knows Claira's fears and dreams he knows much more than Snape knows...Im quite worried about that lol Oh well great to see an update! Ive been looking for an update so glad to see there was one! lol :-)

Author's Response: You are intuitive - fantastic! Hold to that idea and you will be on the right track. I am aching to tell you more, since it has already been written - but I will say no more. If there is one word that people use to describe this story, then it is 'unpredictable'. I give the clues and you must piece them together. Keep reading, it gets much better.

Sirius makes a better dog that he does a wizard. :-) I see the two are going to be competing for her attentions. Still very interesting and I look forward to an update.

Author's Response: I agree with you! I also realize that you have not read the full version of this story, and I think you will be surprised to see just how far this competition goes. I will hurry with the revisions. Thank you for reading and responding!

Nicely done story so far! I always liked the Severus v.s. Sirius stories and no one writes them since Sirius was "killed" in the last book. I like your optomistic stance on this because I often think that it will be possible if not probable that he will be brought back some how. It wasn't as if he actually died and this seems to take place a few years after the dark lords comeback - it all could make perfect sence.

Author's Response: Yes, the rivalry continues. Note, however, that I wrote this story two years ago - before book five came out. So it has progressed into AU since then. I am now in the process of revising, as my writing has improved greatly (You should have seen the first draft! Eek!) I also decided to keep everything as is in retrospect to the earlier books, so as not to change the integrity of my original story. Thank you for reading. On a second note, I also am open to the possibility that Sirius may be brought back in the seventh book. I never liked his character much, until he was gone.

I'm enjoying your story... hope you update soon!

Author's Response: Are you the same Melpomene from Severus Snape's Slytherin Society? I used to frequent that forum before delving into fanfiction. I remember your posts, if indeed it was you. I am glad that you are enjoying this story so far. It begins light, but it will become very heavy and deep-rooted as the relationship grows - as with all love affairs. Thanks for reading and taking the time to leave a comment... so little do.

What is it about cherries, the great fruit of seduction? I giggled many times while reading and I look forward to more.

Author's Response: I'm glad you found it humorous - mine is an acquired taste. It will not all be fun and games though. This story gets very serious as the relationship progresses. Thank you for reading.

I haven't read this story before, but I'm very happy to hear that you have a lot of it written already! So far I find it very entertaining, with lovely Snape characterization and a good amount of tension between him and Claira. I will be checking for updates often!

Author's Response: I will try to post sooner. It is difficult since I am still writing it. But I am glad to hear that you find it entertaining. You may find that your laughs turn to tears later on. I will say no more. Keep reading!

Wonderful update! Im sitting here with a little smile on my lips! Snape is having trouble and not good that Black is around! Very good and interesting! Please update soon! :-) Its such a great and funny fic!

Author's Response: Relationships are always fun in the beginning, then things begin to get in the way;circumstances and fear threaten to rip us apart. My goal as an author, and with this story, is to express emotion - all that is possible to feel. I hope to prevail. Please keep reading.

Great to see an update - I love the way you write Snape. Hoping to see more of these two soon!

Author's Response: Thank you! Glad to see you have returned. I will try to update faster. It is difficult, but I am on a mission. Keep reading.

Very nice sexual tension building here. And, given the opportunity, he could have provided her with a new affliction to treat - with her thighs, that is. Wonderful line! I'm very glad you updated this.

Author's Response: Thank you! I appreciate you taking the time to comment. As an author, I love to hear that my work is being read. I hope you continue.
