| I'm impressed at how you manage to convey so much information, subtle and otherwise. My favorite line in this chapter is: "Torture him and ply him with liquor, and his capacity for snark remained unchanged." Poor Severus! And now I'm curious--where does he keep his clothes? Oh, and the nod to filmLucius and filmDraco was gorgeous! Author's Response: I was trying to show how Spartan his chambers were, but now I'm going to have to think of something. Glad you liked the film references. I always thought that having such gorgeous actors play the evil characters was kind of perverse. | |||

Author's Response: As a grown-up over thirty, I just got glasses for the first time, and it struck me how clearly I could see other people, and how much it wasn't necessarily a good thing. I'm working on Tonks' return to Hogwarts. It's lots of fun to write, and I hope to have it up soon. | |||

| Tsk tsk - here I was, vainly hoping that I'd be the only one who thinks Snape has something with dark chocolate... Why do I still hope I can conceive one original thought :-)? Anyway - I greatly enjoyed this chapter, especially the Order discussion with your exceedingly snarky Snape and the unspoken critique of his sadistic teaching style. He really is the odd man out in the Order. My heart is in my mouth for the next chapter - go on, try and make me buy Snape/Tonks... *grins evilly* Author's Response: I'm not sure how original I am; I'd read Dazzleberry's fics first, where his weakness is chocolate cake. The advantage of actual hard chocolate, though, is it can be bittersweet :). Keeping him I/C whilst moving towards some sort of romantic encounter is exceedingly hard, but I seem to be writing the next chapter faster than I thought I could... | |||

| I love this fic! Just found it ... well, I saw it a few weeks ago but didn't have time to stop and read fully. Never thought I'd be interested in a Snape/Tonks fic, but you're doing a great job of convincing me! And the Order meeting was brilliant, as was the conversation between Snape, Tonks, and Dumbledore at the end of this chapter. I love how all of the characters interact. Looking forward to more! You've got one of the most credible Snape/OC fics out there, and I didn't find it until you were at least 20 or so chapters along. | I like where this is going. Tonks and Severus are such an unlikely pair. And I like the way you are showing that while Severus is still in the Dark Lord's service, he is not entirely trusted and that there are consequences. I look forward to seeing where this parternship goes. Author's Response: I've thought, maybe the Dark Lord keeps Severus around because of his talents, as many of the DEs are of the Crabbe and Goyle variety. Don't know if this opinion has any basis in canon, however. And yes, I think there's not enough Snape/Tonks fics out there. | |||

| Interesting start. I like the first person. You really get a chance to crawl into Sev's head. I look forward to seeing where it goes. So far, you've captured Severus well. Author's Response: Thanks, though I couldn't maintain the 1st person, as it's too difficult for a longer fic. I may write another chapter in 1st person, if I get enough ideas together. | |||
