| lovely story! I especially liked Severus' reactions to the other characters, So. Now I 'm the official killer of kittens, am I? And, Oh fine. Now he was the torturer of small, sick animals. Poor Severus, that hard earned reputation pinches sometimes ; ) I look forward to reading more of your stories and I thank you for being so productive, good fan fic is a treat for many of us that are not writers. | A good read! And your details were excellent - I've done this one a few times. I work with a few animal shelters, and I've done the tiring all nighters with cats, dogs, and quite a few other furry people. But just as you wrote, that moment when you get up at 5 am to check on one you don't expect to make it through the night, and they're sitting up complaining because they're ready to eat makes it so worth it!

I used to take care of the kennels for a vet and I'll never forget the cat that lay injured and unconscious for three days. The fourth morning, I came in and at first couldn’t find the cat. Had the vet moved it? Had it died? No. It was standing up, reaching through the wire waving at me and squalling it’s head off because it was hungry damnit! | |||
