| Hooray!!! I'm sooo happy to see a brand new chapter posted, and what a chapter it was! The teenage years are fraught with wild swings in emotion, feelings of extreme self-doubt coupled with low self-esteem. The complex emotions that Bethany had to deal with after her encounter with Snape were totally believable, and brilliantly written. Brava!! I eagerly await the next installment ... hopefully it won't be so long in coming next time, hmm? ;-) | |||

| I'm so relieved to see this fic hasn't been abandoned--I've never hoped so hard for so long for an update in my life! What a well-rendered examination of the girls' responses...one of the strengths of this fic is the time spent on reactions. Snape's responses to each girl individually and to the situation as a whole are fascinating. I hope we'll be seeing more of Alice soon--I'm extremely partial to her. Author's Response: Thanks for writing. Its been a busy few months with RL and it just got in the way! We've been criticized for being so long-winded with our descriptions and the build-up of the characters etc,but that's the way we write and glad most of those that read, Tenth Rule, tend to enjoy it that way. | |||

| Excellent! I am glad the story is back. I keep wondering if Snape wants or is even aware of the growing enmity between Alice and Bethany. Would that not be a problem for him later on? Would they not go as far as denouncing the other to Dumbledore, if their jealousy continues to increase? Or if he plans to get them to please him together later, once he has subjugated both of them individually? Author's Response: Thanks for the review, and glad you liked the chapter. | Welcome back, your updates were missed. I enjoyed this chapter, reading about how the girls are dealing with the situation. You have written their reactions in a very authentic way and I am looking forward to the next update. I'm among the many who are very glad this story was not abandoned. | Yay, a new chapter!!! Well, this is an interesting aftermath - he certainly has succeeded in messing with their minds and friendship, and is putting a lot of time and effort into molding them into what he wants. | Wow, what a way to come back! You have written an outstanding post mortem of the events, I could feel Bethany's emotional turmoil. Sex is complicated and cofusing at that age and this goes way beyond that. I'm sad for Alice. Somehow this seems so much harder on her. Both girls are in so far and they don't even have each other now. Can't wait to see how Snape plays them during detention. Worth the wait!
